I’m real excited about this one. Over the last few months we’ve seen a lot of Video: and Photos: interviews with different photographers and filmers. A few weeks back I started thinking about a few different guys who kill it with photography and filming and editing. One of the first names that came to mind when thinking about the new “Portfolio” series was Hadrien Picard. Hadrien is a photographer and filmer that comes to us from France. You might recognize his name from his photo or film work or maybe even Soul BMX Magazine that he’s co-owner of.

Andre Fowkes is one of those riders from the U.K that I didn’t really know a lot about, but was always curious about when he would pop up in edits and everything. His riding was always on point and he seemed to be real stoked on BMX and that’s damn near the only credentials needed to get my attention. The other day, our U.K contributor, Tom Halliwell, sent through a couple photos and a quick interview he put together with Andre that I’m real stoked on. TJ Henderson Interview + Fake It Edit

Today is a good day! Not only do we have a fresh new TJ Henderson edit that we’re premiering above, but we also have a full interview with him to go along with some damn good photos! This Sunday rider is from what some would call a “dying breed”. While most kids are dumping their brakes, TJ runs a classic setup with front brakes, 4 pegs and a freecoaster along with a back brake that comes off from time to time like in his new edit. Even though his setup might not be as common as it used to be back in the day, his creativity is what really makes him stand apart from other riders. We wanted to find out what this guy is all about, so we shot him some questions and this is what he had to say…

Jeff Wescott has been on the move this past year. Bouncing back and forth between the U.K (sometimes faster than he would like) and U.S along with spending plenty of time in front of and behind the lens. It seems like there has always been something coming from the guy at least every other week lately. A few weeks back he announced that he had decided to step away from the Amity team so I figured it was a good time to get ahold of him to find out what that was all about and what else he has been up to lately. Things have been crazy over here behind the scenes lately and we’re slowly sorting a bunch of things out that we think you will be really stoked on and we should be able to announce the next few weeks. One thing we can let you in on is that Deluxe‘s Mark Noble will be coming through with an Original every now and then. Some of those originals will be in the form of this new series called Firsts where Mark will be catching up with different riders and industry members to find out some of the first times they did things. Through The Lens: Catching Up with Caleb Quanbeck

If you couldn’t tell by now, it just so happens that I like to let each week’s column happen as organically as possible. I honestly don’t like trying to have too much of a plan when it comes to the newest TTL’s. I like the fact that every week I have the ability to let the column take different directions and end up where it ends up so to speak. This past Monday I spent Labor Day chillin’ in Long Beach and shooting with Hoffman Bikes Caleb Quanbeck. We spent the day getting stuck at one school and I ended up shooting a bunch of photos while we were there. Since it seemed like Caleb had a newfound motivation to get shit done I wanted to give him the opportunity to have a feature on the site and let everyone know what he has been up to. Check it out.

I think the first time I came across Ryan Scott was on Twitter. I don’t remember why or how, but yeah. Over the course of time, we ended up going back and forth quite a bit. The other day, Ryan sent through some of his latest work for us to check out to do a possible photogallery. I already knew Ryan shot damn good photos and I decided it would be best if we could get an interview out of him to go with the photogallery so you can really get a feel of who is behind the lens on this one.
