Moritz Nussbaumer is officially doing it for Subrosa Brand!

It was announced a little while back that Moritz Nussbaumer had joined the Subrosa squad over in Germany, but today we get his official welcome video that is jam packed with dialed riding to bring the news. Moritz has been crushing it for years, so it’s no surprise to see that he got picked up by Subrosa. This video is a good reminder that he can slay rails, send big tailwhips and he’s not scared to send it on some gnarly setups! Hit play and enjoy!

Gorge Road Trails Closing Down and Moving

The legendary Gorge Road Trails will be closing down and finding a new home…

I woke up this morning to a message from my brother @lowellsmyth who lives in Queenstown and works at the Gorge Rd trails. Looks like the city council is moving the jumps to a new location. Really sad because they will never be the same. By the sound of the article it seems like they are on top of finding a new location. If you’ve been to Gorge you know how amazing these jumps are and you’ve seen them transform into what they are now. Let us all know when the last session is so we can try our best to make it there. You boys are all legends! Thank you for letting us be a part of one of the most magical places I’ve ever been to on a BMX.

Above is a news article that Anthony Napolitan shared about the legendary Gorge Road Trails closing down and having to move to a new location due to the city of Queenstown needing the space for infrastructure. It wasn’t a decision that was taken lightly and the city and everyone involved with the trails are actively working on a solution in the form of a new spot that they can re-build / build a new spot that is equally as incredible. We’ve seen hundreds of videos from the place and countless riders have hopped a plane to New Zealand specifically to ride this place, so the city understands just how much of an asset this place is for the community. We had heard some rumors about a year or two ago that eventually the trails would need to close down, but figured it was just a rumor or it wasn’t anything coming up soon. The time has come and they’ll have to relocate. We have a feeling Gorge Road 2.0 will be even more incredible.

Here’s a fresh one from Kent Fuller that is bound to scratch your itch if you’re looking for a video jam packed with grinds. Kent has spent a bunch of time out exploring street spots stacking clips all over the city for this new one with Rayden Wickop and he ended up with this dialed video. Dialed riding, great spots and some clean film work. Can’t go wrong with this one.

Carbon Fiber BMX Hub Guards?

Jonny Lee is back with another custom creation. This time around he tries out carbon fiber hub guards…

Lately when we see a video from Jonny Lee, he’s cooking up a new 3D printed part for his bike. We’ve seen him do a handful of really cool projects, and now he’s going to venture out a little more and try out carbon fiber as well. Jonny recently started testing out a carbon fiber hub guard that starts out with a 3D printed layer. These two videos (the 2nd one below gives better detail in my opinion) show how he made the hub guard and a little testing he was able to get in despite bad weather. These are just a few basic concepts, so we have a feeling we’ll be seeing more from this project soon. Either way, it’s pretty cool and appears to work! Take a look!

Get a behind the scenes look at what went into Garrett Reynolds’ new “Fiending In Sydney” video from Red Bull!

The other week we got a look at the Garrett Reynolds “Fiending In Sydney” video from Red Bull that turned out amazing. The video featured Garrett and Lewis Mills with filmers, Tony Ennis and Calvin Kosovich behind the lens as they cruised spots around the city. The end result was a wild video, but there was a lot that went into it behind the scenes, so Red Bull put together this video that gives us a good look at what went into everything from the riding to what they got into off their bikes as well.
