Scotty Cranmer – Insane Big Boy Spinal Crash

December 3, 2017

Scotty Cranmer has the guys test out the Anker Soundbuds Curve wireless headphones during a session…

Scotty Cranmer coming through with a promo video that features Big Boy, Cory Berglar, Matty Cranmer and Vinny Mannino testing out a few pairs of Anker Soundbuds Curve wireless headphones that the company gave them to review. Check out the video for some riding, get some insight from the guys on what they thought of the headphones… If you’re digging the headphones, you can find a link to buy them below…

“We got to test out the Anker Soundbuds Curve wireless headphones and see how good they are for riding freestyle BMX! The headphones were great they fit perfect and they were very comfortable and also easy to use! The crew each had a pair and they rode around the skate park and did a bunch of tricks and I had an idea for big boy using the headphones to keep him focused on trying a new trick for the first time. The headphones work perfect but big boy messed up the track and had an Insane spinal crash trying to grind the rail!” – Scotty Cranmer

Woozy BMX – Crazy 360 Degree Fisheye Camera Footage

December 2, 2017

Woozy BMX have a new camera they are playing around with… Here’s a look at what a 360 degree fisheye camera can do.

Although the riding footage isn’t really anything special and most of this isn’t really riding, Woozy BMX gives us a pretty crazy look through a lens that records at a 360 degree fisheye angle. This is meant to just be test footage, so it’s more just playing around with the camera to see what’s possible with it. The start of this one is kind of slow, but there’s more riding toward the end that’s worth a look. Just skip around a bit. We’re just not sure why they didn’t have the Sergio Layos clip they posted on Instagram the other day in this. I’ve embeded that one below because that’s been the best clip with that camera we’ve seen so far.

A post shared by woozybmx ? (@woozybmx) on Nov 25, 2017 at 1:36am PST

What do you think? Is this camera more for taking crazy Instagram photos or does it look pretty cool as video, too? We’re on the fence. Let us know your thoughts in the comments.

Some of you may be wondering what year it is… Some of you might be wondering if these were actually BMX pedals people used to ride. Others might be excited about this news. Others might be grabbing their shins in fear of the torture that these pedals undoubtedly could do to you. Either way, it’s 2017 (Less than a month from 2018) and the crew at Odyssey have re-released their legendary TRIPLE TRAP BMX PEDALS by popular demand (We’re not sure who, but we’re looking at you older guys in the corner with the retro bikes — Don’t worry, we like you).

The Triple Trap Pedals are based off the original design with the aluminum body and replaceable cages. Inside you can find a 9/16″ spindle and loose ball bearings to keep them spinning. Available in Black, Anodized Blue and Anodized Red for $24.99 through Odyssey BMX dealers worldwide now.

Now, the Triple Trap pedals might not be quite your speed, but we do have a feeling a few more of you will be pleasantly surprised to know that Odyssey have also re-released their ever popular Trail Mix Pedals in both Looseball and Sealed versions. These pedals have the aluminum body with the concave shape and 8 metal pins per side for superior grip. Inside you can find a 9/16″ spindle and either loose ball bearings or sealed bearings depending on your budget and how much you prefer sealed bearings.

The Loose Ball Trail Mix pedals come in black and polished with a price tag of $34.99 through BMX shops and mail-orders that carry Odyssey.
The Sealed Bearing Trail Mix pedals come in black only with a price tag of $59.99 through BMX shops and mail-orders that carry Odyssey now.

So, that’s the good word. Odyssey have brought back two of their classic and iconic pedals that have been favorites for a ton of riders all around the world. Unfortunately we left out the entire segment of you guys that like plastic pedals, so we’ll just recommend the Twisted Pro Pedals.

What do you think? Are you stoked to see the Triple Trap pedals back? How about the Trail Mix pedals? Let us know what you think in the comments!
