Vans BMX Pro Cup – Sydney Practice Highlights

The Vans BMX Pro Cup is officially kicking off this weekend down in Sydney, Australia! Some of the top bowl riders in the world have made the trip down south to throw down and it’s bound to be a wild time! Here’s a little look at some of the practice that has gone down so far. We can only imagine how gnarly this contest is going to get!

Big Boy – Tailwhip Redemption

If you have been following Scotty Cranmer‘s Youtube channel since the start, there’s a good chance you remember the video when Big Boy got wrecked on a tailwhip out of a bank under an overpass. It was one of the first few videos on the channel. Since everyone was either hurt or busy, Scotty decided to challenge Big Boy to go back to that spot and redeem himself! Hit play to see Big Boy finally beat one of his worst crashes of all time.

“Since we started this channel a lot of things have changed especially ALL OF THE CREW MEMBERS BUT ONE OF THE BIGGEST CHANGES HAS BEEN FROM THE BIG BOY. IN THE PAST 14 MONTHS HE HAS LOST ABOUT 100 POUNDS and he gained not only some muscle but a lot of talent riding his BMX bike. We have seen him conquer so many challenges when it comes to doing tricks. He has mastered front flips backflips and now he is working on perfecting his tail whips. So I figured it would be time to go get redemption at the overpass where he had one of his worst crashes since the start of this channel. He accepted the challenge and we packed up the truck to get to work! It took Cory Berglar and my self to encourage big boy just like we did the last time and big boy stepped up to the occasion and brought his a game!”

East Coastin

Here’s a rad one we had sent through by Ellliott Eubank from a road trip along the East Coast he took with Lane George hitting up a TON of places like The Wheel Mill, Woodward, the Unit in Greenville and more while meeting up with friends all along the way. This video is a mix of the footage from the trip with riding from everyone they caught a session with! This turned out real rad. Check it out!

Brandon Schill – Milwaukee Winter

There is no denying that 4Seasons Skatepark in Milwaukee, Wisconsin has been pumping out talented riders for years. Here’s a video featuring a younger rider that calls the place home to remind you of that. Hit play to watch Brandon Schill go to work on the bowl and the box jump section at the park where he BLASTS the ramps and brings a ton of style to the table. Really digging this one. “Riding outdoors during winter months in Wisconsin is very difficult. Luckily, there are skateparks like Four Seasons in Milwaukee which provide a sanctuary for riders in the Midwest. Brandon Schill is a Four Seasons local. I caught up with him for a couple sessions during January and February and captured some of his smooth, effortless riding. The song in the video is called Vain Village by Xavier Wulf.”

Eclat – Territories: Alex Kennedy & Bruno Hoffmann

When you see Bruno Hoffmann and Alex Kennedy‘s name pop up, you should know by now that you’re about to see something wild. Eclat teamed up with DIG to send Alex and Bruno to China to see what the place had to offer up for spots for these two to slay! Needless to say, these guys matched the heat and dropped some serious hammers!

“Back in October of last year we started a new DIG travel project. For the first one we teamed up with official partner brands Éclat BMX and WETHEPEOPLE and selected two riders from each brand to accompany us to a city none of us had ever been to or even knew about. Ningbo is about 2.5 hours south of Shanghai in China and had more than enough good spots and interesting locals to make for an epic trip.

Episode 1 features Alex Kennedy and Bruno Hoffmann (Eclat) and we’ve got 2 more episodes from this seres to follow. The 2nd will feature Dillon Lloyd and Ed Zunda (WTP) and the third episode will feature our ‘In The Cut’ behind the scenes footage from the whole trip.

In conjunction with this project we have printed 75 limited edition 64 page photo books with images from the trip. Books include FREE DIG, Eclat and WETHEPEOPLE stickers. Look for that on our webstore tomorrow.

Billy Perry – GoPro BMX Riding In NYC 6

Billy Perry and Anthony Panza strapped the GoPro Cameras on for another round of POV riding around New York City. Hit play to watch them ride spots, navigate through tight traffic, skitch rides on the back of trucks, session flatbed trailers in the middle of traffic and more.
