An Honest Conversation With Tyler Fernengel

November 17, 2016

Tyler Fernengel has been off his bike for the better part of a year due to some crazy back injuries, but he’s finally starting to get back on it and getting into the swing of things. Tyler’s new Haro video drops next week, but Ride BMX decided to sit down with him and find out what’s new and get his perspective on a bunch o things.

“We’re dropping Tyler’s long awaited Haro Bikes section next Tuesday (11/22) at 9am PST, so I figured I’d invite Tyler over to my place, sit him under some geometric shapes, and have a fairly quick conversation about life, injuries, recovery, and a few things in between.

“After filming for our full length for 5+ years we thought it would be nice to have a laid back approach to a video. This ended up with us filming a day video in one of our neighboring cities. This city isn’t exactly known to be stacked with spots but finding random stuff to ride is always a blast. Enjoy and let us know which city we should hit next!” – Francis Castro

Cory “Puppy Arms” Berglar Boot Camp

November 17, 2016

We’re not quite sure what Big Boy was thinking with this one, but he decided to let Cory Berglar call the shots for him during a session at a skatepark. As always, Cory pushes Big Boy to his limits and makes him try a few tricks that he might not have tried without that added push. Take a look at what went down.

THIS IS THE WORST BEST IDEA EVER. Cory “Puppy Arms” Berglar told me what to do and I had no choice but to comply haha. This idea is a ton of fun because it really helps you push yourself. Cory managed to make me learn some new tricks and put me through his training camp.” – Big Boy

Mike “Jersey” Taylor Retires From BMX

Hanging my pegs up ?I'd like to thank all my sponsors & friends who helped me out on this awesome journey that is bmx ? #retired

It looks like Mike “Jersey” Taylor has decided to retire from his Pro BMX days as he officially stepped down from the BSD and G Sport Pro teams (but we would imagine he’ll still be apart of both brands teams) in a post on Instagram. Jersey has been an absolute savage on the streets for years, so there are probably a few rails that are breathing a sigh of relief, but we’re sure he will still be out there crushing it on a BMX bike. It also looks like he’ll be making moves in the downhill mountain bike world, so maybe you will see him more if you’re into bigger bikes in the near future, too.

Either way, Mike was one hell of a rider and there’s no doubt that he has left his mark on BMX’s history over the years!
