Shadow Conspiracy – Optimized Freecoaster

November 4, 2016

Let’s take a closer look at the Optimized Freecoaster from The Shadow Conspiracy!

Shadow Conspiracy Optimized Freecoaster Hub BMX

On the hunt for a new freecoaster hub? The crew over at The Shadow Conspiracy have released their new and improved Optimized freecoaster for you to get your fakie on with. The Optimized hub starts out with a 36-hole, CNC machined 6061 alloy hub shell with a small Crow logo. Inside you can find a 14mm solid chromoly male axle with 2 sealed cartridge bearings and 2 sealed cartridge hub shell bearings and an a 9-tooth CNC machined chromoly driver. Their past freecoaster ran into a few engagement issues from riding, so to resolve it they have moved to a bushing resistance system to completely fix the problem.

The Optimized freecoaster also features a smaller hub flange on the non-drive side to allow for a smaller plastic hub guard that comes stock with the hub. You’re not only ready to go backwards, but you won’t have to worry about grinding either.

This hub comes in left or right side drive, colors of black, polished, anodized red, Polar Blue, Arsenic and Ignite weighs in at 25.85 oz. and costs $164.99. You can pick the Optimized freecoaster up through BMX shops and mail-orders that carry The Shadow Conspiracy worldwide now or in The Shadow Conspiracy webstore.

Scotty Cranmer – Taking Calls Now

November 4, 2016

NOTE: This video was filmed way before Scotty’s crash! Sorry for the disappointment if you were hoping for a new video from Scotty… This title was a little deceiving.

It’s crazy how much footage Scotty Cranmer was sitting on before the crash. Here’s a video that finally made its way online from a while back when they gave out a phone number for everyone to call in and literally Call The Shots for the crew during a session. The phone line blew up from callers all over the place! Check out what went down… We cannot wait to see Scotty back to pumping videos out like this..

Boost gave us two phones that had there unlimited and unhooked plan already pre loaded up. One for me and one for Scotty, Scotty came up with the idea that we should do an interactive video with the viewers. It was such a fun time and I was so glad we could get you guys involved. Here’s some news coming from the old Instagram feed. Chris Childs has decided to part ways with Merritt. No word on exactly why, but it sounds like it was Chris’ decision. We’re not sure if he has a new opportunity lined up, but we wouldn’t doubt it for a minute since he’s always crushing it and we’re sure he will have a wild part in the new Sunday Bikes “Grow Up” video!

“I would like to send my thanks out to Merritt BMX for the past few years of their time and working with me on their team. I recently made a decision to step down from riding for them. Best of luck to those guys. Here’s to the first Merritt Tazers trip I was a part of!”

Robin Kachfi On Radio Bikes

November 4, 2016

robin-kachfi-radio-bikes-bmx

Here’s some news for you! Radio Bikes have recruited Robin Kachfi to their line up over in Germany! If you have been checking out The Union for a while, you have most likely caught one of Robin’s videos that have popped up over the past year or two. He’s been keeping content flowing steady and he’s been doing a lot of progressing, so it’s no surprise to see this news. Expect plenty more from Robin in the near future!

“Robin hails from Mannheim, Germany, and is one of the most exciting and hard working riders emerging out of the German BMX scene right now. Robin shreds it on a bike and is always on the move, out riding with the Kunstform BMX Shop crew and filming videos for his Youtube Channel which he updates daily. We got a chance to hang with Robin a couple of times this year, and got really hyped from just watching him ride, but most importantly he just seemed like he fitted in. After speaking to the rest of the crew, it was a no-brainer to welcome him to the Radio team and have him part of what we do.

If you haven’t already make sure you subscribe to Robin’s Youtube Channel and follow his Instagram page @robinkachfibmx. With a new Radio team project about to start real soon, Robin is also filming for his welcome video, so you can expect to see much more of him in the very near future.

Welcome to the team Robin, stoked to have you here!” – Radio Bikes
