Kink – Josh Pascasio Skatepark Session

What year is it!? One of the Pascasio brothers getting down in a Jeff DuPaul production? That’s what we’re talking about. Except it’s 2016 and instead of Denny, it’s Josh Pascasio getting down at one of his local skateparks over in New York for Kink! As always, Josh brings a super good mix of tricks from flairs to crazy no foot can cans and stretched no handers. In a world of nibbler jibbler ledge edits, it’s good to see riding like this! BMX In the Cirque du Soleil?

If you have ever been to Las Vegas for Interbike or for whatever other reason somebody would go to Las Vegas, you have undoubtably have heard of the Cirque du Soleil, which is one of the city’s best known shows with acrobats and crazy other stuff. Well, it looks like they might be mixing some BMX into the show and have been testing out some possibilities of how they could incorporate it into the show. Cirque du Soleil recruited a few familiar faces to come out and do a workshop where they put the guys to work figuring out some ideas. Hit play and take a behind the scenes look. This is pretty interesting!

“In this episode of the Workshop series, the Cirque du Soleil team explores BMX choreography. See what happens when BMX riders learn choreographic skills and when Cirque tests new ramp design for stunts on a potential Big Top setup.

“Blueprint” – Shad Johnson & Ian Munro

Another section from the “Blueprint” video from 2001 for your viewing pleasure! This time around we get Ian Munro and, the man behind the filming and editing, Shad Johnson‘s section! This has a bunch of gold from the streets and a number of different skateparks.

“It is kinda weird writing about your part in the video you made. I always was hoping for a full part but filming duty and me over analyzing my riding kept the clip count lower than i hoped for. Then came along Ian who i had grew up knowing from riding in central Oregon. Ian had just moved to California and was sitting on a bunch of clips. Scotty Cranmer – Learning the Hard Way

Scotty Cranmer, Big Boy and Ronnie Surridge coming through with another video. This time around the crew spend some time cruising a local school. Things didn’t quite go to plan for clips since these guys spent a lot of time falling off their bike, but there’s definitely a few laughs and landed tricks in there.

“This storm ahead of Hurricane Matthew has really put a damper on riding since we got back from california but we are not going to let it stop us from having fun! We decided to go ride a street spot at a local high school that we haven’t ridden in a long time and we wanted to see what we could come up with! Ronnie had a rough day! He couldn’t land any of the tricks that he was trying and then ended up getting a flat tire and that’s when he claimed he was quitting BMX! Big Boy did some cool stuff! He did an awesome half cab up to Barspin off! But he also crashed twice! I had a lot of fun but riding in the rain was a little frustrating I did the longest most awkward hang 5 that i have ever done! Ronnie ended off the session by doing a decade but he landed on the seat so hard with his leg that he bent the seat! It was mayhem but we loved every second of it!”

Demolition Parts – Nico Bernede’s Portugal Vacation

Portugal has been a bit of a hot spot lately! Demolition Parts connect over in France, Nico Bernede spent some time over there recently cruising a couple of pools, street spots and skateparks. Here’s a video he put together from the sessions he got in!

“French rider, Nico Bernede did a Portugal trip after Hugo Almeida told him there was plenty of amazing pools and ditches to be discovered. Nico’s girlfriend did a great job behind the camera after successfully climbing over couple of fences too.”

Monday Night Football BMX Half Time Show

Last Monday, during the Monday Night Football game between the Minnesota Vikings and the New York Giants, there was a BMX demo that went down during half-time to keep the crowd excited and to help hype up the X Games that will be going down at the new Minnesota Vikings stadium in Minneapolis. Here’s two videos giving us a look at what the crew who were invited to do the show got into during the day (Chad’s video below) and some footage from the show up top (Dustin’s video). Can’t imagine what it was like riding in front of so many people!

“67,000 fans fill the brand new US Bank Stadium during Monday Night Football for the Vikings’ second ever home game, completely sold out, and little do they know they would see a live preview for X-Games right during half time… Join ASA Entertainment with local pro Dustin Grice on the mic as he welcomes X-Games Gold Medalists Daniel Dhers, Ryan Decenzo, home town hero Levi Lavallee, and all the riders from The Factory Minneapolis’ 24-Hour BMX Facility including Nitro World Games Champion Colton Walker, Evan Moyle, AJ “Ironman” Haines, Tristan “TwisterX15” Sagastume, Dallas Light, as well as Division BMX’s riders & ramp crew Casey Ervin, Jared Wiedower, and Micah Kranz. This now sets the first ever action sports & BMX riding to ever go down in the new stadium… What will we see next?”

“Last minute call to fly up to the new Minnesota Vikings stadium to do demos and halftime show. Said YES before I planned anything out. Trouble could be I had to be back to work at my shop Mr. B’s by noon the next day. 3am up and direct flight made this happen. Bill Nitschke, Dane Beardsley, and my self did demos outside with the cheerleaders and drum line. My camera was not recording for the 1st and last show…so this is what I got…also sprinkle in some of my chadisradasadad snapchat and here is my 24 hours Monday night football. Thanks to ASA, Xgames, Rick, Bill, Dave Freimuth, and the whole crew for one wild time. Still wish it was the Packers but this being my first monday night footballI will take it.
