There have been a lot of up and coming crews and scenes popping up all around the world lately. There’s always been a lot talent to come out of the New Jersey area, and this is a good reminder of that. Check out this 20 minute mixtape where the crew puts in some SERIOUS work on all sorts of spots in the northern New Jersey area, and definitely kick their own ass all along the way. Haro Bikes coming through with an awesome new video featuring Matthias Dandois laying down some pure flatland and street hybrid gold. This video was filmed between Paris and San Diego, making for some excellent locations, and Christian Rigal was behind the filming and editing! This is an absolute must see, even if you don’t ride flatland because this has a good mix of street into it… Matthias doesn’t disappoint! Enjoy!

It looks like Paul Tholen has been given the well deserved bump on up to the Wethepeople PRO team! Paul has been crushing it for the past couple of years over in Germany, so this was a move that we had a feeling would happen some day. With that news, they have released a brand new Bike Check giving you a closer look at Paul’s current Cadence setup, along with a full parts list. Here’s another dialed section from the Blunted Athletics “Forever Rolling” DVD for your viewing pleasure! This time around we get a look at what Lahsaan Kobza cooked up for the video! As you should already know by now, Lahsaan came through with a ton of heavy clips from crazy grinds, big gaps and some heavy drops with plenty of speed and style! It’s been a little while since we’ve heard anything from the Tree Bicycle Co. crew. It looks like they recently spent some time out at Woodward East getting in some riding time and hanging out with the campers. Here’s a video they cooked up from the clips that they stacked during their visit! Looks like it was a good time to us! Check it!
“The tribe spent a full week stuck in a cabin out at Camp Woodward, PA this year. After all the camp shenanigans and sight seeing around PA we managed to still film an edit. Enjoy the likes of Patrick Kelly, Dylan Gold, Habo Gutierrez, Mason Burke, Jack O’Leary, and TM Nathan Wallace do there thing around camp.

It looks like the new Stevie Churchill signature cranks from Primo have arrived. These BMX Cranks start out with 4130 heat-treated chromoly forged arms that have wrap welded pedal bosses, a one-piece spindle and sprocket boss, a beefy 24mm hollow chromoly spindle to help stand up to the heaviest of abuse from the streets and hollow flush mount bolts. The Stevie Cranks are right and left hand drive compatible, come in colors of black and raw, lengths of 170mm and 175mm, weigh in at 33 oz. (without bottom bracket) and include a 24mm Mid bottom bracket and multiple spacers!

It’s always interesting seeing what pros are getting into when they aren’t on their bikes. If you follow Red Bull, then you know they do a lot to help their athletes improve their skills, whether it be in their sport, other sports or just for personal wellness. They recently recruited Corey Bohan for some training in the world of Golf with a wakeboarder and a skateboarder. Over the course of the 3 episodes, we get a look at how these guys did, along with some of the science that is involved in this. It’s not BMX, but it’s definitely an interesting watch. Check it!
“Bridging the gap between action sports and golf, a new three-part web series called “Distance Lab” in collaboration with Callaway features renowned golf instructor Hank Haney teaching action sports stars Corey Bohan (BMX), Steel Lafferty (wakeboarding) and Alex Midler (skateboarding) how to hit a golf ball further than they ever imagined.
In this first episode, Hank Haney meets these elite athletes and observes them hitting drives to get a sense of their game. After seeing one of the guy’s swings, Haney says, “we can always send out a search party.”
“In this second episode, the athletes visit Callaway’s Distance Lab where Hank Haney and his team get baseline readings of everyone’s swings, gather data to help increase distance and the athletes add speed and forgiveness with the XR 16 Driver.”
“In this third episode, it was competition day to see who had the most impressive improvement, with Steel Lafferty taking the crown. His max club head speed turned out to be higher than an average PGA Tour pro (120 mph). There is also a surprise cameo by two-time world long drive champion Jamie Sadlowski, who provides tips and inspiration.
All three athletes showed significant long distance improvement, with Lafferty enhancing his drive from 281 to 320 yards. Bohan, a three-time X Games gold medal BMX rider, improved from 208 to 275 yards. Midler, an 18-year old rising star in the skateboarding world, improved from 191 yards to 266 yards.
