Winter Welcome Jam 2024 Highlights

The 10th annual Winter Welcome Jam was a wild one!

This past weekend the 10th annual Winter Welcome Jam went down at The Wheel Mill and, as expected, it was an absolute BANGER of an event. Check out this highlight video Brant Moore put together giving you a look at all the riding from the young guns to the Pros, good times and more that were had. Every year this event just gets bigger and better, and it’s easy to see why! Check it!

“The INCREDIBLE Winter Welcome Jam 2024 at The Wheel Mill in Pittsburgh PA was the 10th anniversary of the event and hands down the best indoor skatepark BMX event I’ve been to ever!

From all of the insane things that went down, to the sense of community felt throughout the day, to all of the pros who were in attendance. This jam was seriously incredible and a massive thank you has to go out to Mike and Mark Potoczny as well as The Wheel Mill, Harry Geyer, everyone who had a hand in helping with the event, all of the sponsors, and every single person who was there. This is one for the books and feels so similar to the legendary events of the mid 2000’s. Let’s make it even better next year!!

Kris Fox, Jason Watts & Paul Thoelen On Volume Bikes

Kris Fox, Jason Watts and Paul Thoelen have all been added to the Volume Bikes team!

The start of the year always leads to some interesting sponsor news and shake ups. When Kris Fox parted ways with SE, Jason Watts with Cult a little while back and Paul Thoelen going a few years without a frame sponsor after leaving Tall Order, we had a feeling these three would have some new deals coming along. We didn’t see all three joining the Volume Bikes team at the same time, but damn that’s sweet. Things have seemed somewhat “quiet” with Volume lately, and we have a feeling this is a spark that will definitely do good things. Get the full details below!

IGI BMX with some flatland from the Andes Mountains!

Here’s a fresh video Jean William Prevost sent through from some flatland sessions that Owen Bohn and Benjamin Hudson got in together and at their home spots. This is a mix of riding and footage from some of the fun they had off their bikes as well. It’s loaded with a ton of great riding, so get on that play button to get your flatland fix in. “Owen Bohn & Benjamin Hudson hold a special bond. Both share a passion for flatland that is hard to find at that level in the mountainous area they inhabit, they live pretty close to eachother except for the towering Andes mountains that separate their cities Santiago and Mendoza. They’ve been taking this 8 hour bus ride that crosses the sight of the tallest mountain outside the Himalayas every time they feel for the motivation of riding with a real one. 15 years later they still motivate each other to keep pushing. This video will show them riding in a short mixed session together but also host a solo part for each on their own spots in Mendoza, Argentina and Santiago, Chile.
