989 Crew – Louisville

The 989 Crew have been pumping out a bunch of BMX videos lately. It looks like they recently decided to load up and head south to cruise the spots in Louisville, Kentucky. This starts out with some footage from the skatepark that we honestly do not see enough footage out of followed up by some street action. It looks like these guys had a damn good time during their time riding the park, dodging a squad of ruckuses, getting “yelled” at by probably one of the coolest security guards ever, cruising street spots and more. Salute to the 4th BMX Contest Highlights

Here’s a highlight reel from this years Salute to the 4th BMX Contest at Silverlake Skatepark in Rochester, Minnesota. This event was apart of a bigger 4th of July celebration that had fireworks, a car and motorcycle show, live music, food trucks and a skateboard contest, but this is just highlights from the BMX portion. This video kicks things off with the beginners, followed by intermediate, expert and a few clips from the Subrosa Street Rail Jam. Unfortunately the skate contest ran way longer than expected, so the rail jam got off to a start late while they were still wrapping up the skate contest. Either way, it was a real good time and everyone from the riders to the people who just stopped by to check out the show seemed to enjoy it. Plus, this event and the skate contest helped raise funds for the Keep Pushing Forward Skatepark Foundation that is working to do a massive expansion of the park.

Best Of Mongoose Jam UK 2016

Scotty Cranmer – Unreal BMX Street Spot

Scotty Cranmer, Big Boy and Cory Berglar coming through with a new video from a full day of cruising a super fun looking abandoned building. Although it was super hot out, it looks like they were able to stack plenty of clips all over the property from the ledges, manual pads, rails, banks, loading docks and more. “For our 3rd street mission we went to this abandoned building I stumbled on in the winter and decided to see what we could come up with! Cory Berglar and Big Boy came along and this spot just might be my favorite spot I have ridden in a while! Cory Berglar did some awesome tail whip tricksand brought his A game when it comes to the fakies! Big Boy did some typical Big Boy tricks including some awesome freecoaster maneuvers and then he had his weekly Breakdown trying a ledge ride to bearskin and he kicked his helmet into the woods and couldn’t find it! It was an awesome session and we are definitely going back someday for Big Boy to do the rail there!”

Fiend In Shanghai – Day 1 Part 2

Colin Varanyak has been collecting some GoPro clips while out in Shanghai, China with the Fiend crew. The other day we caught a Day 1 video, but it looks like there was more to see but it couldn’t all get uploaded thanks to some sketchy WiFi. Product: Verde – 2017 Luxe VX2 Complete

Every year when the new complete BMX bikes start popping up, we anticipate the Verde Bikes release because they do a phenomenal job of making the bikes look absolutely amazing. The other day they dropped their 2017 Complete BMX Bikes, and one of the bikes was their Luxe VX2 complete that really caught our eye, so we figured it would be a good idea to take a closer look!

The 2017 Luxe VX2 starts out with a 100% chromoly frame with a 74.5-degree head tube angle, 71-degree seat tube angle, 11.7″ bottom bracket height, 9.4″ standover height, 13.5″ chainstay length and a 21″ top tube length. You can find features like top and down tube gussets, a Reynolds 520 butted chromoly down tube, Mid bottom bracket, integrated seat post clamp, Investment Cast seat stay bridge and removable brake mounts. The Verde Regent fork is also 100% chromoly with a 1-piece CNC machined steerer tube and tapered legs and the Verde Neyer Pro bars at 100% chromoly with a 9″ rise.
