Chandler Skatepark – Blackburn Open Flyer

After a few set backs due to how much the city of Chandler originally wanted to charge for the use of the skatepark for the contest, it looks like things are finally starting to get squared away and the crew putting the contest on have worked out a deal. The contest will be going down October 15th, so mark you calendars and plan to be in Chandler, Arizona at the park for this! Should be a wild contest.
“We are pleased to announce our official partnership with the City of Chandler’s Parks and Recreation. We are ecstatic to say our new official date for the contest is Oct. 15th 2016. Yup, it’s finally happening, the citizens spoke, and the city listened. Until then, we will continue announcing more information on the program schedule, judging criteria, rules, and registration and promote everyone’s that supporting our efforts.
To let you know, outside of the contest, we have made a massive amount of progress with the city and should see changes in their fee schedules soon, they mentioned including a simple contact for scheduling jams with minimal to no costs, more to come on that as it moves to the city council.
Once again, we appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding and would like to say thank you for supporting amateur action cycling events and the growth of the Arizona freestyle community. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please feel free to contact us.” – Rick White
