Here’s some highlight action from the annual Night Harvest jam at the Potato trails! This is a BMX and mountain bike contest, so we get a look at what went down between both classes, along with a best trick that appears to have been pretty wild, too. The latest episode of Snakebite‘s Podcast series that Shad Johnson produces catches up with Keith Treanor to talk a TON of history. Keith has been riding BMX longer than most of you guys reading this probably have been alive, and he rode for, and worked for a number of brands in this industry of ours. Needless to say, this interview covers a TON of ground and there’s a TON of hilarious stories from start to finish. Hit play and enjoy!
“Keith Treanor has been around. From being a team rider on S&M in the early nineties to his involvement with Menstural Cycles (one of the first spin-off brands from a core bike company). From stand out parts in legendary videos like Dirty Deeds and S&M BMX Inferno (a part which he hated). From being a visitor to an early Backyard Jam in the UK (a trip which had a huge impact on him and those he met along the way) to being a regular focus of UK based print mags the time. From eventually moving from Southern California to Florida and working with UGP, and then at a much later stage moving to OKC and working with Hoffman Bikes and then eventually back to So Cal to work with Volume/Demolition and eventually Colony Bikes where he is today. And somewhere in between all of this he’s battled with some serious addiction issues. Yep, Keith Treanor has been around and knows more about our world of BMX than most.
Late in 2015 we sat down with a full room of friends including ,Vince Kroff, Evan Lane, Paul Covey and more and got Keith to tell some stories after a long weekend of riding. We go in to his early days on S&M, filming with Dave Parrick, being a Sprocket Jockey, his battle with alcohol, and how he found his way back to BMX. This is a great listen.” – DIG
It’s always a good day when Alex Kennedy has a new BMX video drop online! Today, we’re treated to an amazing new video filled with footage of Alex putting in some work on his home spots for his sponsor Nyishar. Watch as Alex goes to work on spot after spot, along with a little look into what he’s into when he’s not riding. Despite it looking to be pretty wet, he wasn’t held back from coming through once again with an amazing video for you to enjoy. Get on it!
Wow… We did not see this one coming. 4Down Distribution‘s own French Connexion‘s, Nico Badet and Tom Deville recently made a trip to the French Riviera to see just what the place had to offer. Although, they went into this one pretty discouraged and well aware that they were going to come across a TON of resistance (which based off the description below, was a lot… Given you don’t see any in the video really), they took the gamble and ended up winning! Everything about this video from the riding to the spots to the 80’s themed film work is on point. Do NOT pass this one up!

THE FRENCH RIVIERA IS THE MOST LUXURIOUS PART OF FRANCE, FULL OF YACHT, CASINO, EXPENSIVE CAR AND OF COURSE POLICE, SECURITY GUARDS AND ANGRY POSH HABITANTS. THE AVERAGE TIME SPENT ON A SPOT BEFORE SOMEBODY CALLS THE POLICE WAS BETWEEN 5 AND 10 MINUTES.

It’s always awesome seeing new BMX videos surface from China because so much of the place is completely untapped when it comes to BMX. Today, the Kapok Shop hit us with a link to a video from a trip Zhiyong Zhang, Leming Liang, Wenting Huang, Jia Zhu and Muchao Li took to the city of Amoy last November to see just what the city had to offer. After watching this, it’s safe to say this place has some incredible spots and these guys and girls all took full advantage of the opportunity. This is a rad one, so hit play and enjoy!

Here’s a BMX video we had sent through featuring 10 year old Lukas Kennedy putting all four of his pegs to good use on street spots and skateparks up in Canada. We’re not quite sure how many 10 year olds are out riding street in Canada, but I’d imagine Lukas is up there in that department. Not bad for being so young and only riding for about a year now! Take a look!
“Lukas Kennedy Is possibly the best street rider in Canada for his age (10 years old). 2015 was Lukas’s first year riding BMX. This edit was filmed in the course of 3 months. This edit was really tough to make, so many hours of frustration, a snapped frame and a bunch of snow storms stopped him from riding. We had to wait 3 weeks to film his banger because the spot was either soaked or snowed in. After all the crazy work, it all payed off. Lukas is so stoked on how it turned out and he cant wait to film another one. Follow him on instagram : @lukaskennedybmx”
Here’s a real solid video we had sent in featuring Ethan Schmitt putting in some work at a couple different skatepark, like 3rd Lair, here in Minnesota to pass the cold winter months! Ethan brings plenty of grind combos and lines in this one making for a good watch from start to finish. Take a look!
