Old Man Night at 5050 Skatepark

January 20, 2016

It’s pretty awesome seeing some of the “older” guys sticking around and riding BMX longer than we have seen in the past. 5050 Skatepark threw a Old Man night to let some of the older guys get a session in without tripping over all the kids on scooters or feeling way old when a 12 year old shows up and throws down better riding, haha. Although the quality is a little rough, this BMX video has some solid riding in it.

Marcin Oskiera – Pre-ACL Surgery 2015 Video

January 20, 2016

It’s been a little while since we’ve seen Marcin Oskiera‘s name pop up in a BMX video, but it sounds like he’s probably been taking it pretty easy leading up to his knee surgery. But, before he could go under the knife, he had to fire out one more just for good measure and it’s clear he wasn’t holding anything back! Watch as he drops some hammers at a few different skateparks and some trails!

“We knew that Marcin will have a knee surgery at the beginning of this year so during the last few months we tried to get as much footage as possible, which wasn’t that easy without his ACL and in between his school and work.

Thanks to Marcin’s sponsors:

Almost “Nearly 4K” – Part 3: Jason Phelan

January 20, 2016

When it comes to a guy like Jason Phelan, you know he’s going to be going all in when filming for a project, especially when it’s the new Nearly full-length BMX video. Today we were treated to just over eight and a half minutes of clips that didn’t make the cut, crashes and some funny extras for you to get an idea of what Jason put in for this one. So good!

“The third instalment of Nearly 4K bonus / BTS / leftovers is here and this time we’ve got all the spills and hi jinx from Ireland’s Jason Phelan. Huge drops, much lolz, crazy setups and all with a big smile on his face. Wait until you see Jason’s super secret bonus nighttime footage…” – DIG

Behind the Scenes of Isaac Lesser’s “Build It” Video

January 20, 2016

Last week we got a look at Isaac Lesser’s crazy “Build It” video, but what you probably didn’t know is that this was way more complicated than it seemed! Watch this Behind the Scenes BMX video giving you some insight into the project from building the ramps, breaking his foot and getting healthy and back on his bike to crashes and more. It’s definitely an interesting watch that gives some perspective on the challenges that come with filming.

“Isaac Lesser has been riding ROM Skatepark for almost 15 years. Being the oldest skatepark in the UK, the classic, concrete haven boasts endless lines and haunting transitions.
However Isaac decided it was time to think outside the box, and with the addition of a few wooden extras, was able to open up gaps, lines and transfers that nobody would’ve thought possible.

You’ve seen the riding video, now go behind the scenes and learn what it took to make this project possible.”

Filmed and edited by Mike King
