The Toasted Crew hit us with a link to their 5th annual Fall Jam at the skatepark in Berkeley Springs, West Virigina. Despite it being rained out the weekend before, they still had a real solid turn out and plenty of solid riding went down. Take a look!

Here’s some interesting news to start your Wednesday off. It looks like Josh Perry and Bern Helmets are no longer working together. Based off what he said in his announcement, it sounds like Bern pretty much burned him and are no longer doing a BMX program as a whole, which is a bummer to hear. Get the full scoop from Josh below. Sounds like it was pretty shady…
“After about 6 years, I’m no longer riding for Bern Helmets. It definitely was not mutual. It was more like “hey, it’ll be sweet for a few years, then we’ll say we “forgot” to pay you one year, you’re so loyal you’ll stick around, we’ll lead you on, and then we’ll conveniently drop the Bmx program after promising to pay you and do all this cool stuff within the Bmx community”.
I’m pretty bummed as I feel I rode my heart out for them, believed in the brand, and thought they believed in me. Sucks being treating like shit when you’ve literally put your life on the line and promoted a brand you felt made sense to you and your passion.
Is it that hard to compensate someone for their hard work, especially after a 5-6 year relationship and not shade out on them?
I do not have anything new lined up and I’ll still be wearing my Bern helmet as it is safe and I believe in their products still. Just a bummer.”

Always good to find some fresh Art Thomason footage over on Flat Matters. Here’s some of the tricks he has been working on for Battle of the Rockies, but he unfortunately won’t be able to make it to the contest, so he put it all in this BMX video. Take a look! Plenty of flatland gold in this.
It turns out that Jeff Kocsis and United Bike Co. have been working on a signature colorway for Jeff on the Region frame. There’s a bike check, along with an interview giving you the full scoop on Jeff’s bike, the new colorway and the frame over on the DIG website.
Verde dropped this new video featuring a new face we’ll be having to keep an eye out for, Mark Martinez! We don’t know much for Mark, but between Tony Neyer vouching for him and this new BMX video… It’s clear to see that he’s an absolute shredder. Watch as he sends it down some BIG drops and stair gaps, and gets some heavy grinds in!
“Mark Martinez might come off as quiet at first but you would quickly find out that he’s louder than ever. Obviously like most people once you get to know them you get to see how they handle them selves when in different situation. I was hurt when I first met him so I only got to hang back and watch him and his homies come down from AZ and kick it with the squad. I was blown away by how good he was at riding and just all and all seemed super genuine and perfect for the Verde squad. Like I said riding was he’s louder than words and down for the get down.
