The Shadow Conspiracy – Artem Agarkov Welcome Video

September 15, 2015

There’s a new rider that is representing The Shadow Conspiracy over in Russia that goes by the name of Artem Agarkov and it’s clear, based off this welcome video, that the guy is a serious shredder on the streets. Watch as he puts his pegs and nose balance to heavy use on the streets of Barcelona! Definitely some serious heat in this BMX video.

“The Shadow Conspiracy is proud to welcome the young Russian shredder Artem Agarkov to our international family. Artem comes to us through Hellride Distribution with a unique style that blends fakie movies with some incredible nose control. Hit play to watch his Welcome edit filmed by Shadow teammate Diego “Mono” Navarro during a trip to Barcelona.

Cycling, Cameras and Cats with Sandy Carson

September 15, 2015

Ah, we’re huge fans of Sandy Carson on and off the bike and of course behind the lens! Fairdale Bikes caught up with Sandy to talk cameras, cats and the shitload of different bikes that he rides from BMX to fixed gear, mountain bikes and road bikes! This has some riding footage in there which we don’t see nearly enough of from Sandy these days along with some of his photography work. Definitely a BMX video to check out!

“Sandy Carson was our first team rider back in January of 2012. “Team Rider” is a term we use very loosely at Fairdale. We don’t expect our riders to win races (though Sandy did just win a Texas State Championship on a mountain bike). Hell, we don’t expect our riders to even ride all the time.

Mostly our team is made up of friends who are doing cool things. Folks we admire. People who in some way have bicycles as part of their lives. Sandy couldn’t sum that up more.

As a full time photographer he is always doing something exciting… some shoot or another, working on his own photo books and shows, or traveling around to odd places. More than any of that what really makes us admire his work is the way his photographs portray the world. He takes some of the most interesting photos we know of by catching little details that the rest of us skim over. Those little things that when expertly highlighted can reveal special moments all around us.

On top of all that he is an amazing bike rider. A cyclist who is perpetually motivated to ride all kinds of bikes. Riding with an infectious sense of humor and inspiring enthusiasm. His great history as a sponsored BMX rider means he can naturally shred on any bike. Applying that mastery to bikes with other sized wheels has lead him into an even bigger love for cycling.

We spent some time down in Austin filming the man and would like to present to you this video. Check out our friend Sandy.

““Here’s a sneak peek at Tanner Easterla’s signature Nemesis Fork which we will have on display on the QBP booth (#4136) at Interbike this week in Las Vegas. Anyone who’s seen Tanner ride will know that he likes to go big, so we designed his signature forks to really take a beating. Made out of fully heat treated Japanese 4130 chromoly, and using 6mm thick laser cut CNC dropouts with a shorter 28mm offset, the Nemesis forks are perfect for those of you looking for a strong, technical fork that you can trust day in, day out. Available later this year in Matt Black, Copper, and Space Dust (pictured). Look out for more info on Tanner’s signature Nemesis range dropping on Instagram later this week, so follow us @radiobikes to see it first…”” – Radio Bikes

Ambipegstreetest – Frankie Lang

September 15, 2015

Damian Racut has released Frankie Lang’s section from the “Abipegstreetest” BMX video online for your viewing pleasure. Frankie is real good at riding some unique spots and puts his pegs to proper use with plenty of support from random people that are taking in the show.

“Nobody is as down as Frankie. If you suggest something he is probably with it. When I made it back to Cleveland there wasn’t anyone to ride with. Most people are skatepark rats or not into the same style of street riding that I am into. Frankie is an exception to that. Although he lives an hour away he was still able to film most of his section in just a few months.”

Sneak Peek: Eclat – Cortex Freecoaster

September 15, 2015

eclat-cortex-freecoaster-preview-bmx

The product sneak peeks are starting to flow heavily with Interbike just one day away. Today we popped open Facebook to see a preview of the new Cortex freecoaster that Eclat are working on. No set details on just what is inside, but we would bet that it’s not your typical stock KHE Internals. We would assume since the Blind freecoaster has freecoaster and cassette abilities and can be switch from right or left side drive that the Cortex is going to be a more “standard” freecoaster that is more affordable than the Blind hub. We’ll just have to pick the Eclat guys brains when we see them…
