Sneak Peek: Fly Bikes – Mat Roe Signature “Roey” Grip

Fly Bikes just released a sneak peek look at Matt Roe‘s new “Roey” signature grip that will be available later this year. This grip has a similar look as the A’me Tri grip that was super popular in the ’80’s and is still available today, but with a few more modern touches. Looks good to us!
“This week are excited to give you guys a few sneak peek photos of the new Mat Roe signature Roey grip that will be available later this year. We were working with Mat on grip designs and we started talking about the A´me Tri grip and how much we loved that design. In the end, we decided to do a more modern version of the grip with a few slight changes as a bit of a tribute to one of the great grip designs.
The A´me Tri grip is still available for those of you looking for the original, but we will be offering our version in black, Military green, orange and one other special colorway that we will be announcing closer to the release of our 2016 line later this year.”

Texas Toast Is Toasted For 2015

Odyssey have just announced that Texas Toast for 2015 has ben cancelled. It’s a pretty heavy undertaking to make this event happen and from their explanation, it makes complete sense as to why they weren’t able to make it happen this year. Hopefully it comes back in 2016 because this is hands down one of the BEST BMX EVENTS ever.
If you want to re-live some of the good times, here’s our Texas Toast 2013 Photogallery.
“June 26th 2015 – After 4 incredible and positive events, we are sorry to inform everyone that this year’s TEXAS TOAST JAM has been called off.
A few variables beyond our control lead us to this decision, but the bottom line is that we simply could not gather the level of sponsorship support that is required for doing the event properly. Toast is a casual jam and might appear rough around the edges, but in reality it is a lot of work, and it also takes a lot of money to make it happen. We have to pay a legit staff of builders, buy and rent equipment, offer prize money, make sure the judges have pens and cover a million other details in order to keep this international event rolling smoothly. As Odyssey employees, we also organize and manage Toast while juggling all of our everyday work for the brand. It is fair to say that Toast has always been a labor of love for everyone involved in its creation, and because of that we are committed to always doing it properly so we can give the riders, fans and supporters the event that they’ve come to love.
We are bummed that the stars did not align for Toast this year, but there is always 2016. Our fingers are crossed.

Colton Walker – The New Breed
Colton Walker: The New Breed – More BMX Videos
We have been talking about how incredibly dialed and good Colton Walker is for quite some time now and with every video that comes out from him we can’t believe the level of progression. Colton has been spending some time out in Southern California, away from his home in Minnesota, to film for this crazy new video that is packed full of banger after banger. We’re willing to bet the majority of these clips were filmed first go because that’s how much of a machine Colton is. Enjoy!
“Colton Walker just turned 18-years-old, but already rides like a true veteran of the sport. The way he is already pushing ramp riding while living substantially far from any sort of “training facility” is mind-blowing. The future is bright for Colton and this video is guaranteed to make you take notice of the new breed…
