BEIGE CRÜ – Lightwork V.1

December 4, 2020

The Beige Cru have been getting in some late night sessions (or maybe it’s not really that late, just that damn sun sets so early again) out in the streets and at their local park. Here’s a chill new edit with some great riding and a little skate action to enjoy! This reminded us of the “Lightworks” DVD from a few years back. Either way, this edit is worth a look, so hit play!

Eduarda Penso Bordignon On GT

December 4, 2020

Duda Penso GT BMX

There’s been a ton of ladies picking up BMX bikes these days and crushing it. It’s actually been hard to keep up with all the new names popping up! GT Bicycles hit us with some news that they’ve added Eduarda Penso Bordignon to their line up down in Brazil! We’re not too familiar with Duda, but it looks like she rips and must be doing something right to land a spot on GT. Check out the official word below, along with a few photos. We would imagine we’ll be seeing more from Eduarada soon!

“We’re hyped to announce our latest rider for GT, Eduarda Penso Bordignon, from Brazil.

It’s awesome to see how much the female freestyle BMX scene has grown over the past few years. New riders are coming up across the globe and the level of progression is exploding. With that said, we’re excited to be supporting 20-year-old Eduarda Penso Bordignon from Brazil. “Duda Penso”, as she’s better known as, calls Francisco Beltrão home, where she’s been putting in work in the parks, dirt and streets for the past eight years.

She’ll be joining our current Brazilian team riders Leandro Moreira and her fellow Vans Brazil teammate, Gustavo Balaloka, as well as fellow female shredder Chelsea Wolf and the rest of the ever-expanding GT BMX Freestyle team! Welcome to the GT Bicycles family, Duda, let the good times roll!” – GT Bicycles

Brian Tunney – November 2020 Clips

December 3, 2020

Although this year has been terrible, the time does seem to fly by. It’s a new month and that means that it’s time for Brian Tunney to give us a look at what he’s been getting into during his flatland sessions. Here’s what he cooked up over the course of November. Plenty of gems in here and once again picking out music that fits perfect. Take a look!

“The month started out just a little dramatic. There was this thing happening in the U.S. and it kinda drained me of motivation to go out and have fun. A week in, I decided enough was enough and had to force myself to detach from a gripping news cycle and go ride even if my brain was distracted. This is the result of that. Towards the end of the month, I stumbled onto an old how-to in a 1988 issue of Freestyle Spectacular or American Freestyler for a trick called the “Turnpike.” It’s basically a half bar-split decade out of a lawnmower and it baffled me. So I took a few hours one day to learn it but added a half lash and did it off the opposite side. Anything bar-split for me is difficult because I am not a fan of smashing my unmentionables but it seemed to work out okay here.

Song is from old friends Joan of Arc, buy the record here” – Brian Tunney

Old Boys Reunion at Skatehalle Aurich

December 3, 2020

When there’s a Rodeo Grind in the cover photo, you are required by BMX law to watch it.

Ohhh yeah. Here’s one that will get the Mid School riders psyched. Freedom BMX dug into the archive and pulled out this gem from 2012 featuring a few of Germany’s finest throwing down at Skatehall Aurich. The cover photo alone had us stoked to hit play on this one. We’re pretty sure we posted this one when it originally came out, but it’s definitely worth a repost. Everything from the riding to the music is so good and will definitely bring anyone who has been riding for 10+ years back. Even th Hit play and enjoy! We definitely miss seeing this kind of BMX video.

“Blast from the blast from 2012 with German BMX GOATS Tobias Wicke, Björn “Bommel” Mager, Sergej Geier, Markus Braumann and Jan Bekurtz shredding Germany’s biggest indoor park aka Skatehalle Aurich.

For today’s #damalsdonnerstag we travel back to the year 2012. Back then Felix Prangenberg, Paul Thölen and Dean Florian weren’t the most blatant drivers in Germany, but guys like Tobias Wicke, Björn “Bommel” Mager, Sergej Geier and Markus Braumann. Here is a video that the All-Stars filmed eight years ago in the Aurich skate hall, where there was no Advent jam for the first time in over 20 years. You don’t know what to shake your head about anymore. That one of the most beautiful traditions of the German BMX scene was interrupted or how far ahead of their time the guys were back then. Real goats, uh, goats are that. MÄÄÄH!

Here is the text of the video on our page from 2012:
“Tobias Wicke, Björn” Bommel “Mager, Sergej Geier, Markus Braumann and Jan Bekurtz locked themselves for a few days in the Playground Skatehalle Aurich. It goes without saying that Bommel had his camera equipment with him in addition to his bike, which was currently without brakes we will witness today that they not only competed in transitions there, but surprisingly also spent a lot of time on the many grind obstacles in Germany’s largest skate hall. But see for yourself … ”

December 3, 2020

Wethepeople keeping the flow of videos from the AM team going strong. Riley makes a lot of these clips look effortless. Hit play and take a look!

“#AmmersFest continues. Washington native Riley Smith has been stacking for this one. Trick and spot selection always on point, there’s something about this kid’s riding we all just love. Riley’s video parts leave you wanting to go grab your bike and go ride, and this one is no different.

Filmed by Austin Elliott. Edited by Grant Castelluzzo.” – Wethepeople

Profile Racing – Chris Childs Collection

December 3, 2020

Profile Racing Chris Childs Collection

Profile Racing coming in hot with a fresh signature colorway collection. This time around Chris Childs got the chance to do some colors of his choice and he went with a red and gold combo for Profile’s Acoustic front load stem and Fat Pivotal seat. The stem features a gold front plate and red main body and comes in 48mm and 53mm. The Fat Pivotal seat features Profile’s Wing P logo in Red with gold accents. We’re really digging the color combo and instantly reminded us of a particular superhero, let’s just hope Marvel doesn’t send a cease and desist.
