Fit Bike Co. – Ethan Corriere “Sleeper” BTS

June 16, 2020

It’s always pretty interesting to see just how much footage gets cut while working on a video project like Ethan Corriere‘s latest Sleeper video. Here’s 28 minutes of raw footage filled with b-roll, second angles, crashes and random clips filmed along the way! No, not all of the clips were one and done like it may seem at times. Hit play and take it all in!

“If you like it raw, here’s 28+ minutes of the nitty gritty knocks behind Ethan’s latest SLEEPER edit filmed with his homie/roomie Gordon MacDonald.

If you haven’t indulged in the real deal yet, peep it below!

And if you think your boy Ethan is too smooth with it, cop his sig frame and/or pegs so he knows you care!

Alex Gonzalez – Isolated Ditches

June 16, 2020

Alex Gonzalez hasn’t slowed down during the shut down. He’s used the distancing as an excused to go out and explore some of the ditch spots around New Mexico, an do some solo filming! Here’s a look at what he’s cooked up for clips from his sessions! Great riding with some clean film work. Can’t go wrong with this BMX video.

“It doesn’t seem to matter; time in New Mexico takes the long way around with not too much to worry about, when it comes to the distress in the rest of the world, the state moves along as usual most of the time… During quarantine, the city of Albuquerque pretty much looked the same, vacancy isn’t a shock and the empty streets are a mainstay in the street riders handbook. So, Alex Gonzales took a new page out of his and took to the Arroyos’ (ditches); searching the endless concrete to find a different type of isolation.

Self-filmed in the month of April, 2020, Alex really shows the creative potential of what you can do, with or without lockdown!” – DIG

Rising Monster – Jose “Maligno” Torres

June 15, 2020

Monster Energy uploaded this new one featuring Jose Torres where he talks about getting into riding, then going all the way to the podium at the X Games. This is a rad story and there’s plenty of dialed riding mixed in with this, along with some footage showing how he keeps himself in shape for riding!

“José Torres A.K.A.”Maligno” has been collecting principal hardware in the BMX scene since picking up a bike at the age of 14. Becoming eligible for his first X Games, José took a serious fall at the ‘Road to X Games’ qualifiers leaving him with taxing injuries to his arm. After strenuous rehab and a mental rehaul, he got back on the bike and went on to win his first X Games medal at Minneapolis 2019. José Torres is the ‘Rising Monster’.” – Monster Energy

Jay Miron: The Next Chapter – World of X Games

June 15, 2020

The X Games coming through with an awesome new video where they catch up with Jay Miron to get his story of what he’s been up to since he retired from BMX. This covers his start to the peak of his career, to a look at his new career as a furniture builder! This has a TON of great riding footage, and it’s pretty amazing to see the work he’s doing these days! So stoked on this.

“In 1995, Canadian BMX rider Jay Miron won the first X Games gold medal in BMX, for BMX Dirt. He beat out the top dirt riders of the time, in a class he typically didn’t enter at competitions.

How? He’s Jay Miron, one of the best all-around BMX bike riders in the world, still to this day. He never took one discipline and ran with it. He did it all.

Miron first arrived on the international BMX scene from Thunder Bay, Ontario in the late 1980s, riding BMX Vert at the 2-Hip King of Vert competitions. Quickly, he emerged as a progressive, unstoppable and innovative bike rider on all terrains, from flatland to vert to park to dirt. As the 1990s approached, Miron joined up with GT Bicycles and then Hoffman Bikes, moving to the U.S. and competing in a very small but prestigious pro class that included riders such as Mat Hoffman and Dave Mirra.

By the time the X Games arrived, Miron was broadening his horizons and picked up a new sponsorship from an established bike company re-entering BMX. Schwinn Bicycles took his input on their BMX line and allowed him to travel the world without worrying about sleeping on the floor. Instead of taking the check and cashing out, Miron doubled down on the Canadian BMX scene that birthed him. He started his own distribution company to import brands to Canada. He started a Canadian BMX magazine to spotlight riders in Canada. And he eventually started his own BMX company to do things his own way.

Along the way, Miron’s riding continued to evolve in ways no one thought possible. He released groundbreaking video parts, toured the world and employed some of the most progressive riders of the era on his MacNeil bikes team.

Then, in 2009, Jay Miron retired from his BMX companies and BMX riding. He had discovered a new passion and much like BMX before it, he put everything he had into that pursuit. This is the story of Jay Miron.” – X Games

When it comes to freecoasters, Bruce Crisman‘s riding was definitely ahead of its time by A LOT. Snakebite just uploaded Bruce’s section from the Facad Clothing “As One” DVD that was released way back in 2006. Bruce was out crushing fakie lines and combos way back before freecoasters got popular, and he wasn’t scared to crush it on some trails or at a skatepark, either.
