What It’s Like To Ride X Games 2019

August 1, 2019

The 2019 X Games kicked off in Minneapolis last night, and it’s bound to be a couple of days of wild riding going down. When it comes to this contest, it’s not always easy for the average rider to make the trip to check out, and it’s definitely hard to imagine just what it’s like when you’re watching it on TV. Here’s a video that gives you a first person perspective of what it’s like riding the course whether it’s dropping in on the Mega Ramp or catching some laps in the bowl and on the dirt jumps during practice. Obviously the real thing is a whole different thing, and it’s pretty wild to see everything go down in person, but this is still pretty awesome. Take a look!

“X Games is a wild event. Always interesting to see it from the riders view, so I hooked a GoPro Hero 7 Black to a few willing dudes and let them give you a first hand look at what it’s like to drop in on Big Air, Park, and Dirt. Thanks to Mykel Larrin, Logan Martin, Anthony Napolitan, and Brian Fox for being down.” – Our BMX

X Games 2019 – First BMX Street Practice

July 31, 2019

The X Games are going off in Minneapolis this week and things are already starting to heat up. Here’s a look at what went down during the first BMX street practice where some of the guys were able to get a feel for the setup. It’s safe to say if this kind of riding is going down now, it’s going to be a wild contest. Take a look!

“The dudes get a ton of practice, so today was pretty mellow in the sense that not everyone was riding (Garrett showed up at the end, Chad is nursing his ankle, and Bruno gets here tonight) and no one was really stressing much of anything. Check the highlights and shouts to Andrew Knight (http://instagram.com/elevatedperspective) for throwing in a few clips for the edit, too.” – Our BMX

Colony BMX – Paterico Fallico Front End Session

July 31, 2019

It’s pretty amazing seeing how doing something as simple as throwing on some front brakes can mix things up for a rider as far as tricks go. Colony‘s connect Paterico Fallico recently tossed some front brakes on his setup, and it looks like he had no trouble putting them to good use. Here’s some clips he stacked on Clint Millar‘s backyard mini ramp. If you’re looking for some technical ramp riding and some front brake magic, Paterico delivers.

“Paterico setup some front brakes last week and immediately came through with some crazy and clean moves.

Unbelievable Titanium BMX Bike Check

July 30, 2019

This is a crazy titanium BMX bike! Over the years we’ve seen thousands of BMX bikes and every now and then we’ll get one that really stands out, and Brooklyn‘s current setup is definitely a perfect example of unique. BK has been on a bit of a mission to build the lightest bike possible with it still being rideable. Here’s a look at his very expensive and very dialed setup that starts out with a Titanium Frame By Laird Frame, along with a bunch of titanium parts like a fork, spokes, bolts and more that leads to one super light bike. Hit play to let BK give you a full run through of the bike from top to bottom and a look at that total weight. This is amazing.

“Bk has the lightest bike we have ever seen and he spent so much money building his dream BMX and in today’s video we watch him sit-down and explain every part that he has and find out why he chose each part to build his record breaking bike!” – Scotty Cranmer

Want to learn how to install BMX brakes? Brant Moore has done a handful of different videos explaining different tricks and techniques for dialing in BMX brakes, but he has never done a video showing how to install BMX brakes from start to finish. Today, he decided it was time to do one of these videos for those of you out there that are interested in trying the stoppers out or having issues putting brakes on your bike after some time away in the brakeless life. Hit play, take it all in, dial your brakes in and then go do a bunch of fufanus and abubacas! This is a good look at how to get this done.
