The annual Battle of Hastings contest at Source BMX is coming up, and the qualifiers went down to bring TWO out of over 100 riders to the contest in September. Here’s a look at all of the madness that went down! It’s unbelievable some of the tricks that were being thrown in that bowl!

The Four Pegs BMX Street Jam went down in Vienna the other weekend, and despite the rain making things a little moist, they still had a real good turn out and made it to a good number of spots. Here’s a video giving you a look at all the action an good times that went down!

The crew in Columbus have been taking advantage of the Summer, stacking clips galore from street spots, ditches and more. As many of you may have heard, the X Games wasn’t willing or able to do a Women’s BMX class. Over the past 5 or so years, the Women were able to get sessions on the course or do demos, but they’ve never been given their own actual contest. This year Nina Buitrago and the other ladies decided enough is enough and they weren’t willing to pay their way just to do another demo. The girls have decided to boycott the X Games this year to make their voice heard that they want their own contest. Brant Moore got on a live call with Nina to talk about everything going on, that helps explain how it all got to this point and where she hopes to see things go!
“Nina is an absolute legend in BMX who has shredded for years and earned the respect of the vast majority of BMX.
Recently she brought attention to the fact that Women’s freestyle BMX will be in the Olympics before it will have an official medalled event in X Games. With that, we had an opportunity to talk about her history with X Games as well as the history of women’s BMX with Xgames and her feelings about the whole situation and what it has become within BMX.
Rather than asking the exact same questions that have been beaten into the ground, we dug deeper and responded to a few of the different points brought up by some in hopes that considering both sides of the situation might help the conversation.

Odyssey coming through with a BANGER of a BMX video featuring Broc Raiford putting walkways to good use out in California! This is a follow up to Broc’s Passageways Video from a while back, and it’s a banger. Broc went to work on a bunch of wild spots and cooked up some real dialed clips. Hit play and take it all in!
“Broc Raiford follows up his “Passageways” video part with a similar yet different approach… This time taking things to the plethora of sidewalk spots that most just cruise by while on the way to the session. Broc sniffs out the road-side gems from LA county to Santa Ana and delivers just as you’d expect.
“Once again I had no idea what I was getting myself into when Zach and I dove back in to start filming for another themed Odyssey Project. With a handful of sidewalk spots already in mind and an optimistic mindset I chose to film an entire video filmed on spots found only on sidewalks! Not only that, but I wanted the spots to be ridden as if you would be riding them on your way to a skatepark or wherever you’re headed. We had our ups and our downs with finding spots that fit these guidelines but overall I am more than stoked on how it came out! Zach did an amazing job filming / editing and I’m excited for you all to see it. Enjoy!“

We don’t see a ton of BMX videos coming out of Hawaii, but when we do, we can usually count on the Ride HI crew to be the ones delivering the goods. Check out this new 16 minute mix they dropped filmed over the course of the past year and a half. The video features a bunch of different riders putting plenty of spots to good use around the islands. Needless to say, this will leave you wanting to head to Hawaii to sepnd some time riding and soaking up the sun!
