Product: Subrosa X Slayer – Thunderbeast Frame

Yesterday, Subrosa announced the Subrosa X Slayer Collaboration that features 4 bikes, a Pivotal seat and a special edition Thunderbeast frame that will be hitting BMX shops and mail-orders worldwide in October. We figured it would be a great time to take a closer look at the Thunderbeast frame, so let’s get into it!

The Scott Ditchburn signature Thunderbeast frame is made from 100% 4130 chromoly with a 75-degree head tube angle, 69-degree seat tube angle, 9″ stand over height, 11.6″ bottom bracket height and a 13.5″ (Slammed) chainstay length. The frame features a heat-treated head tube, gussets with the Subrosa logo on the top and down tubes, double butted top and down tubes, an ovalized down tube to help resist denting, an integrated seat post clamp, MID bottom bracket, Investment cast seat stay bridge and chainstay wishbone, thicker tubing on the chainstays to help resist denting that flatten at the dropouts for hub guard clearance, laser cut 6mm thick, heat-treated drop outs and low profile removable brake mounts.

The Subrosa X Slayer Thunderbeast features a red to raw fade / blood splatter color with a custom Subrosa X Slayer head tube badge. The frame will be available in 20.5″, 20.75″ and 21″ with a weight of 5.1 lbs. (21″) through BMX shops and mail-orders that carry Subrosa starting in October. You can pre-order your frame today if you want to guarantee that you get one!
