“Every year we make a video of our team guys riding the bikes from our latest complete bike line. This year we have Alex Magallan, Eric Lichtenberger, Erik Elstran, TJ Henderson, Anthony Wilson, Jim Cielencki and Seth Peterson putting the Aaron Ross EX, Gary Young EX and Forecaster Special to the test. The bikes are only modified by adding pegs and sometimes removing brakes. Straight out of the box, our team easily adpated to the new complete bikes simply because they feel and work the same as their personal bikes. We still make the most complete complete bikes out there. Available later this month.” – Sunday
Alex Magallan may be out with a broken arm for a couple of weeks, but at least this new edit surfaced to keep us entertained while he’s out. Here’s some footage of Alex from the last couple of months in Nashville area that Derek DeRose put together.
Song: Darlin’ Commit Me
Artist: Steve Earle
Album: Heartworn Highways
This Defgrip edit is already a year old, but it has been making its rounds again now that it’s embedable. I’m a big fan of Alex’s style so I couldn’t resist jumping on the bandwagon. Enjoy.

“Texas Toast may have come and gone, but the fun memories are still lingering. The weekend was so much fun, the whole PRO team came out to chill, ride and survive the hot weather. Three out of the five people that got through the Gauntlet of Death were from the Sunday team. Gary Young, Jake Seeley and Alex Magallan all made it through. Gary continued his good weekend by winning both the curved wallride contest and the dirt jump event. It was super windy and hot, but everyone had a blast. Can’t wait for the next one. This video captures some moments of the team during the weekend. Enjoy!” – Sunday
Alex Magallan EX bike – Specs
For some reason, every time I see a complete bike these days, my jaw hits the floor. I think anyone who started riding at least 8 years ago gets the same feeling. Complete bikes then weighed 40 pounds from the the full steel frame and parts. The bikes had these one-piece cranks that would bend as soon as you were about a foot off the ground and that’s just the start of the problems. Now days, bikes come stock closer to 20 pounds with aftermarket parts that the the pros actually ride. It’s amazing. A few weeks back, Sunday announced their new limited edition “Bonus Bikes”. These bikes are collaboration projects with riders, artists, brands and more. Needless to say, they turned out real nice and sold faster than you could say “What is a Bonus Bike?”. I got ahold of the man in charge, Jim Cielencki, to find out a little bit more about these bikes. So, let’s take a closer look at these bikes…
Sunday uploaded Alex Magallan’s section from the Nobody Special video that came out a few years ago. Here’s a bit more info…
“Nobody special the first underground bmx video to really capture a bit of the Nashville Scene. This video was created by Chris Mahaffey a local to the Middle TN tribe. I always thank Chris any chance I get. Dude did alot for myself and a bunch of other guys around the area. From helping people with frames and parts to traveling, filming and exposing some Nashville talent. After a couple deadlines, the video dropped during the summer of 2006. My hair was long, jeans were skin
tight and was probably hounding some metalCore or savage LIFE. Times were fun! Thanks again Chris! Enjoyed!” – Alex Magallan
