Flybikes – Dark Blue Fuego Colorway

Here’s a look at the matte semi-translucent Dark Blue colorway from Flybikes!

The other day we took a look at Devon Smillie‘s new signature 2017 Fuego frame in the matte semi-translucent dark blue color, now we get a look at the Fuego bars, his signature Devon grips and his new signature Fuego tire in matching colors! The grips are made from a translucent dark blue rubber to make the color on the frame and bars, too. We’re really digging that color, what about you?

Colony BMX – Limited Edition Manopause Frame

Here’s one we didn’t realize would be getting a limited edition run made. About a year ago Colony gave Keith Treanor a custom frame that was dubbed the Manopause frame. It appeared to just be a gift with a retro / throwback style with the down tube that pierced the head tube, the wishbone on the seat stay and the welded mounts. Since we didn’t hear anything about it beyond that, we assumed it was a one off deal. Then today we spotted over on the Goods BMX website that Colony ended up making a very small batch of 15 of these bad boys. The Manopause frame is made from full 4130 chromoly tubing with a 75.2-degree head tube angle, 71-degree seat tube angle, 11.5″ bottom bracket height and a 13.25″ chainstay length. The frame features an interesting integrated head tube with the down tube that pierces through it and a weld on the top, an integrated seat post clamp, wishbone on the seat stay and welded on chain stay brake mounts. The frame comes in 20.8″ top tube length only and black for the color.

There are only 30 of these between the U.S and Australia, and it sounds like most have been spoken for. You can pick this frame up for $340.00 right here.

Mankind – Daniel Tunte Signature Early Bird Frame

Mankind have released the new Daniel Tunte signature Early Bird frame! This BMX frame is made from fully heat-treated 4130 chromoly with a 75.5-degree head tube angle, 71-degree seat tube angle, 11.75″ bottom bracket height, 9″ standover height and a 13.3″ chainstay length slammed (13.55″ middle). You can find an integrated head tube, gussets on the top and down tubes, a butted seat tube, Mid bottom bracket, Integrated seat post clamp, custom seat and chainstay bridges, laser cut 6mm dropouts and NO brake mounts. This frame is 100% brakeless.

The Early Bird frame comes in 20.8″, 21″ and 21.20″ top tube lengths with colors of translucent green, raw and matte black for colors and a weight of 4.74 lbs (20.8″). The Early Bird frame is available through BMX shops and mail-orders that carry Mankind worldwide now!

Flybikes – 2017 Fuego Frame

Flybikes dropped a look at the new 2017 Devon Smillie signature Fuego frame in the new matte semi-translucent dark blue color. For this year, it sounds like other than the new color, the only other change to the frame is that it now features a shorter 13″ chainstay length and an additional 20.5″ top tube length.

The Fuego frame is made from full 4130 chromoly tubing with a 75.5-degree head tube angle, 71-degree seat tube angle, 11.75″ bottom bracket height, 9.25″ standover height and a 13″ chainstay length. You can find an offset thickness integrated head tube with dual internal and external gussets on the top and down tubes, multi-butted and tapered top and down tubes, a multi-butted seat tube, Investment Cast seat post clamp with the horizontal cut system, a Mid bottom bracket, Investment Cast seat and chain stay bridges, removable Dylan style brake mounts and Investment Cast dropouts with the removable chain tensioner.

The 2017 Fuego frame comes in this matte semi-translucent dark blue color and matte black in top tube sizes of 20.5″ and 21″. The frame is available through BMX shops and mail-orders that carry Flybikes worlwide and direct from the Flybikes website.

Sneak Peek: Fly Bikes – 2017 Larry Edgar Geo Frame

Here’s one we got a look at during Interbike last week, but with better photos and some more details! For 2017, Flybikes have given Larry Edgar and Courage Adams their own signature colorway for their Geo frame, with some geometry changes for each frame as well. The Larry Edgar signature Geo frame comes in this gloss metallic burgundy color with a 75-degree head tube angle, 71-degree seat tube angle, 9.25″ standover height, 11.75″ bottom bracket height and a longer 13.8″ chainstay length. This version frame also comes with a 21″ top tube length.

The frame still features an offset thickness integrated head tube, internal and external gussets on the top and down tubes, multi-butted and tapered top and down tube, a multi-butted seat tube, investment cast seat post clamp with the horizontal cut system, Mid bottom bracket, removable brake mounts and Investment Cast dropouts.
