Vans are doing it big for 2017! Here’s the trailer giving you some of the details on the 2017 BMX Pro Cup Series that kicks off in Australia, heads over to Spain, back across the ocean to Mexico and then up to Huntington Beach at the end of the summer! This is bound to be amazing, so get stoked!

Kicking off with the first of three open Regional Qualifier (RQ) events on February 24, the Vans BMX Pro Cup Series opens contest registration to all professional men and women BMX riders. Ten qualifying winners from the RQ division will advance to the official Vans BMX Pro Cup Series Qualifier on March 3, cultivating the field in anticipation for first-ever Vans BMX Pro Cup Series World Championships.

Thousands of spectators are expected to attend the Australian Open festival, as the Vans BMX Pro Cup Series prepares for an action-packed competition. Sydney’s iconic Manly Beach will be transformed into a packed live arena, highlighting a custom-designed, built-to-spec concrete course. In addition to BMX, the AOS will feature more than 300 of the world’s best athletes in surfing and skateboarding, combined with two days of live music, making the event the largest lifestyle and action sports festival in Australia.

With a total prize purse of $125,000 U.S. dollars up for grabs, the Vans BMX Pro Cup Series world tour will host three open Regional Qualifier events in Australia, Spain and Mexico, expanding the competitive field with new talent at every stop. With all this talk about a massive wall that Donald Trump wants to build between the United States and Mexico, it’s hard to imagine much good coming from the $15 billion dollar estimate cost. It looks like Dan Foley has taken an optimistic look at this wall and started brushing up on his wallride skills in preparation if it ever does happen. Some BMX In Hall 1 At Unit 23 Skatepark

It looks like Alex Donnnachie has turned in the VX for something a little more modern and high definition. Here’s a fresh video he put together from a session at Unit 23 Skatepark’s Hall 1. This video features riding from Kriss Kyle, John Deans, Cadge Patterson, Chaz Mailey, Alex Donnachie, Jason Phelan, Raymi, George Eccleston, Dave Summertime, Scott the punk, Wingnut, G Schmit and Harry Walker cruising the section of the park. This has a good mix of styles and tricks making for a real good watch from start to finish. We have a feeling we’ll be seeing a pretty steady flow of new videos as Alex dials in the settings with the new camera, which should be awesome. Until then, enjoy this one!
