Yep… My phone isn’t smart. I know.

Living in the U.S generally always gives me access to some of the best of the best from around the world. It’s a location that riders from all over the world travel to, the bigger events are usually here, most of the magazines and not to mention some of the best trails, parks and street in the world. There are things we do miss out on though. One of those things would be Cooper Brownlee’s magazine, Focalpoint. This magazine is published and distributed for free to 100 shops around Australia every three months with the rest of the world having to wait a month for it to come online to check out…

Over the course of the last two years, the Colony team have been traveling the world filming. They kept it all pretty hush-hush until recently for the majority of BMX which is actually pretty hard these days. When it was announced they were dropping a full-length, people seemed to be pretty excited and with the team they have these days, it’s no wonder. Colony had Sidewall send me over an advanced copy of the video to check out along with FIVE copies to GIVEAWAY. All you have to do is “Like” The Union on Facebook and then comment or like the photo of the cover I’ll have posted on the wall and I’ll pick the winners next week. After a little over two years, the Colony video featuring Mick Bayzand, Alex Hiam, Liam Zingbergs, Brock Olive, Clint Millar, Pete Radivo, Broc Raiford, Paddy Gross, Bruno Faucon, Peta Shepherd, Simon O’Brien, Shane Badman, Attila Godi, Steven Moxley, Cooper Brownlee, Ryan Guettler, Chris Courtenay, Marnold, Tom Stretton and Zac Miner is finally done and available soon. I figured it would be a real good time to catch up with the man behind the filming and editing, Stewart Munro, to find out what it took to take on this project. One of the coolest parts about doing this website for me is getting the chance to find out more about people I’ve never met and what they do. I came across Pete’s name and work when I did an interview with Jerry Vandervalk. Pete had some real good photos of Jerry, and I was impressed with his work. One of Australia’s hardest working guys in BMX, Cooper Brownlee, was on my need to interview list about his career path in the industry. Cooper is known for being Clint Millar’s right hand man when it comes to Colony and his personal project, Focalpoint. Cooper’s photo and design work has been seen all over, and that’s just part of what he finds himself getting into on the daily.
