This was a video that was stacked to the brim with talent from a lot of familiar faces and a few we haven’t heard or seen anything from in a couple years. Snakebite dropped the Davey Watson section from Bruce Crisman’s “Shola” BMX video that came out back in 2009. This was right around the time Davey was hitting things the hardest, bringing his laid back, but gnarly style to spots. It’s crazy how good he was and unfortunate the path he ended up on later down the road. Either way, hit play and enjoy this!
“I met Davey when he was 15 going on 16 and by the time I had just 2 sessions with him I knew absolutely, without a doubt, that he was going to become something extraordinary within the BMX industry. I can’t say enough good things about him and his riding. I only advise that you watch this section loud and let Davey blow your mind with his style, originality and creativity that we are privileged to witness throughout the effort that he put forth to create this timeless video part.” – Bruce Crisman
It has been quite a while since we have seen Davey Watson’s name pop up and we’re really not sure what he has been doing lately… However, the guys over at Snakebite caught up with him in Portland recently and snapped a few photos of his current Skavenger setup that he’s running. The reason he’s not running grips is pretty interesting… Go check out that bike check right here.
This is honestly something I didn’t expect to see. Goods BMX caught up with Davey Watson to check out his current setup that he’s running these days. You can check out more photos and info by Clicking Here. It sounds like he’s working on a new edit as well… Could this be a full on return of the legend of Davey Watson? I hope so.
