Flybikes – Courage Adams “Seven Days Is All It Takes”

May 2, 2016

If you aren’t already a Courage Adams fan, you’re blowing it, especially after the show he put on at Simple Session last weekend! Today, DIG dropped Courage’s brand new Flybikes video that was apparently filmed over the course of seven VERY productive days! If you’re looking for some buttery smooth lines and some serious nose balance, this is the BMX video you need to watch!

“On some levels I feel kinda bad for the kids today, there’s more amazing riders than ever before but they may never know what its like to film a legitimate video part, something they put work into, that takes years to get done, something to be proud of that’ll stand the test of time and be their legacy as a rider, like some of the guys in “Criminal Mischief”, “Can I Eat” or “Forward”, all they know is firing out daily “enders” on Instagram or web edits that seem to fade into oblivion in no time, and to many older riders this could be viewed as devaluing a lot of hard work or the tricks being done. On the other hand, it could be the age today’s riders are growing up in, it’s how they ride and all they know, media has obviously changed and the “old ways” just don’t make as much sense anymore. Riders are progressing at an amazing rate, are so consistent, things are moving so fast that it only makes sense that they showcase what they can do ‘now’, it’s created this new kind of work ethic toward riding and filming, which in itself could also be considered pretty awesome. Courage Adams has grown up riding in this new media age, its all he knows, he fires out some of the craziest stuff as if it’s nothing, has progressed exponentially over the last couple of years coming into his own, creating his own style, getting the respect of his peers and catching the eye of some of the most legit brands out there as sponsors, all while remaining humble, quiet and semi landlocked in Europe, which in itself is quite amazing. When time came for Courage to film a part for flybikes he approached this aforementioned frenzied riding / media era wasting no time putting in ‘work’ by showing amazing versatility and that he’s as comfortable on his front wheel as the back, creating awesome lines all while having the balance of a cat…. And it came as no surprise, “7 days is all it takes” to get done…. Courage Adams! Enjoy.” – John Povah

United X Two Snakes Tattoo – Nathan Williams

April 28, 2016

You can’t go wrong with some fresh Nathan Williams footage! Check out his new promo for his signature United X Two Snakes Tattoo frame that is about 3 and a half minutes of gold to kickstart your Thursday!

“Despite already filming for his incredible Still United DVD section and multiple other projects, Nathan Williams still managed to collect a ton of footage for this United X Two Snakes Tattoo Mothership frame promo (I’m sure we don’t need to tell you that’s it’s all ridiculous?!) Filmed mostly in Cali while not on other trips and yes a bunch of this is crazy enough, let alone being switch. Nathan truly has to be one of the most talented bike riders on the planet, ever. This has is all – innovation, progression and burliness.

Adam Piatek – Young ‘N Free

April 27, 2016

Adam Piatek has been on fire for quite some time now and based off this brand new BMX video, it doesn’t look like he’s slowing down any time soon! Watch as he absolutely slays spot after spot with grind combos, freecoaster action, manuals, barspins and more! You won’t be disappointed. Plus, the film work is damn good, too.

“Having just celebrated his nineteenth birthday Adam is set to cause some heads to turn in BMX. We’ve been seeing nothing but overwhelming talent from Vancouver recently and Adam is right at the forefront. Brought up in Port Moody, Adam spent his early days drawing gazes at the Port Couqitlam park before turning pro for Macneil at just seventeen. Although it was short lived since parting ways Adam has continued to go beyond his limits and after spent a year working on his latest video. Well actions clearly speak louder than words right? Remember the name, you’re likely going to be seeing and hearing it for years to come.

Ride PA – “Quaker State” R4FB Section

April 22, 2016

Here’s the latest section from the Ride PA “Quaker State” DVD that’s been released online. This time around we get a real solid mix of footage from the R4FB crew who spent time putting in work on street spots and skateparks up and down the entire east coast. Hit play and enjoy!

“DIG is proud to present the second section of ‘Quaker State’ a Pennsylvania based video series produced by Ride PA BMX, bringing together crews and riders from across the state. R4FB crew rolls in for section two with a treat.

“When Purcey first told me about the idea for the Quaker State series, I immediately said yes. The concept was different and no one had done something like this before. After gathering some clips from all the crews around the state, I put together the trailer for the series and I think that was the moment when the project got everyones attention.

The R4FB section was not easy to film for. Our crew, originally from PA, now lives all over the east coast so communication was difficult at times. But we all put our best into it in the end. Brandon Kaefer (Creator of R4FB) held it down in the south with the crew from Florida and racked up clips through the winter, while I went back and forth between New York and Pennsylvania to get footage. This project was great because it brought us all together again even though we now live so far apart.”

Look for the next section to drop next Friday!

Section 2 – R4FB

Featuring riding from:
Stefan Needham, Brandon Kaefer, Sam Downs, Zachary Kring, Peter Cappello, Adam Hoffman, Rainer Eisweiler, Wilfred Alvarez, Jeremy Smith, Kevin Little, Garrett Darr, and Nathan Payne.

Filmed by
Sam Downs, Stefan Needham, Mike Skye, Brandon Kaefer, Nathan Payne, and Zachary Kring
