Ryan Chadwick – Hi-8

Seeing Hi-8 footage always brings us way back to when we first started messing around with cameras. Although the quality is rough, it’s still so good. The other reason why this video is so good is because it features Ryan Chadwick, who for the past few years has been damn busy behind the lens filming for Shadow Conspiracy’s “What Could Go Wrong?”. Although he had that going, he was still able to stack some damn good clips for this new edit from DIG. Enjoy!

“After releasing the first Hi-8 edit early Jan 2015 using my Sony TRV-608, I wanted to keep filming and start to work on a second Hi-8 edit. These edits are focused on having fun and filming my friends out riding wherever we end up that day. From the start, Chadwick was very adamant about stacking enough clips so he could have his own part. Though Chadwick was in the midst of his typical TM duties, going on Shadow trips and then to finalize/produce the What Could Go Wrong DVD, he still managed to get out there and finally get his turn shred in front of the lens. Hoffman Bikes – Trent McDaniel 2015

DIG dropped this new BMX video featuring Hoffman Bikes‘ Trent McDaniel absolutely CRUSHING it on the streets of Chicago! Trent is no stranger to sending it on some big setups and this is more than proof on that. Check t!

Shad Johnson – Real Time

DIG caught up with Goods BMX‘s Shad Johnson to get his perspective on the perspective of time and age in BMX. It’s definitely an interesting watch and we even get a few riding clips out of him, which kicks a lot of ass, too! Enjoy!

“For some this will seem like an obvious thing to say but sometimes BMX loses sight of where we’re all headed and why we all started doing this in the first place. All too often people are more concerned with “who’s next” or “what’s next” without even fully talking in what’s happening right here and right now… never mind what’s come before. In many ways BMX is now just mirroring the attitudes and approach of the wider society that a lot of us tried to escape from in the first place.

This year marks ten years for Snakebite’s Shad Johnson holding it down behind the sales counter at Goods BMX in Portland, Oregon and around 3 decades for him as a BMXer. He’s beaten the odds to stick with both for way longer than most and he’s gathered some seriously good opinions along the way. Here Shad takes a walk with Chewy and talks openly about the uniqueness of the North West scene, his equal respect for riders young and old, and why we need to give more room to let riders grow, rather than continually cutting them off at the first opportunity. We really should all just slow down and take things in a little more – welcome to episode 2 of Realtime.

Pools Gold – Part 2

Here’s one we have been excited to see since Pools Gold Part 1 came out last week! Van Homan (FIT/Dans Comp), Jason Enns (Volume/Demolition) and Garrett Byrnes (T1), together on a Southern California adventure consisting of hopping fences and surfing some concrete waves? What is this, 2002?

Nope, this actually happened a few months ago early in 2015, though this was the first time all three have been on a trip together since the Criminal Mischief filming-era over a decade ago. And it was on the opposite end of the spectrum as what would normally be defined as a “filming trip.” It was more so essentially a week-long riding vacation (literally for Garrett), and these legends reminisced about old memories, and made some new memories to last a lifetime. Stew Johnson captured this experience for your viewing pleasure; hope you enjoy. Garrett’s MVP award is on the way… ”

Van Homan “2×4” Full Video Part

Who needs coffee when you have Van Homan‘s section from the old 2×4 Store DVD to watch! Talk about some serious heat. Get on that play button and watch this BMX video because it is absolute FIRE.

“Introducing a new video feature from DIG – ‘Memory Stick’ highlights some of our favourite video sections of all time both old and new-ish. Opening things up is none other than one of the most savage individuals to step foot on a bike, Van Homan and his section from the 2X4 video, released in 2008. Two By Four was Van Homan’s shop that was located in Pennsville, NJ (open from 2006-2012), and the self-titled release was their first and only full-length shop video. Filmed primarily on the east coast of the U.S. As you can see, Van put 100% into this part; the last few clips in particular bring the heat. Ender Ender – Van Homan

For the latest round of Ender Ender from DIG, we get the story behind Van Homan‘s ender clip in the Two By Four video that came out back in 2008. As many of you might recall, Van did a manual down a kinked rail. What you probably didn’t know is how it all went down. This is the story…

“Back in 2008 Van Homan was looking to close his section for the 2X4 video and he needed a banger clip to tie everything up and luckily Wiz and a nearby kink rail were on hand to help. Straight on rail manuals pretty much belong to Van so it’s no surprise he was the guy to get his one done – and all with that classic Homan style. Stew Johnson sat down with the saviour and got him to take us through the whole process from start to finish. I wonder how many BMX girlfriends/wives have had to film a second angle as epic as that before?!”

Pool’s Gold – Part 1

Here’s one that might just go over the young guns head as to just how amazing this video really is… DIG just released this amazing video from a trip to California that Van Homan and Garrett Byrnes (Yes, Garrett fricken’ Byrnes!) took to meet up with Jason Enns to spend a week riding pools. This BMX video will probably make you older guys feel OLD because these are the guys we grew up watching and now they’re the “old guys” just having a good time. This has cameos from Mike Escamilla, Corey Bohan, Ryan “Biz” Jordan and Rob Dolecki which makes it even better. Talk about a bunch of legends… Oh, and Stew Johnson filmed the damn thing! Stacked, stacked, stacked… Why haven’t you hit play yet! So stoked this is only part one!
