I found out that this was dropping the other day and I’ve been patiently waiting for it until it finally dropped this morning! Eclat caught up with Darryl Tocco for their Natives series giving you a look at where Darryl grew up, how he got into riding, his thoughts on things like the industry and more. There’s even some real good riding mixed in for good measure. Definitely stoked on this one, so hit that play button!
“When you say the name Darryl Tocco, you think of a few things; PRO bike rider, accomplished filmmaker and world class air miler. Darryl is also the perfect candidate to discuss and open up to what he thinks about BMX in general, the internet and growing up inside a BMX industry as both a pro rider and a film maker.
Natives Part 3 explores in brief the background of Darryl Tocco, it also verges on his likes and dislikes in BMX. He also does what he does every single day; riding his bike.
Filmed by Scott Macmenamin
Directed by Paul Robinson
Additional filming/riding clips: Jay Roe, Dan Coller, Walter Pieringer, Brett Tocco
Produced by Eclat BMX
Part 4: Chester Blacksmith coming soon.” – Eclat

Time to dig into another Saturday edition of Products:! For the 65th round, we’ve got 5 parts to keep your BMX bike dialed in and keep it from getting stolen. This week we’re taking a closer look at the Sniper lever from Eclat, Shovelhands grips from Deluxe, the Lifted stem from Mutiny Bikes and the Helm spline drive sprocket from Madera. Then we’ll wrap things up with the Combat Lock from Subrosa to help keep that bike of yours from the rats! Let’s get into this!
Eclat have been killing it with these one clip videos on their Youtube Page! Here’s a quick one of Darryl Tocco doing a feeble to manual to barspin to switch switch barspin line. I seriously drool over Darryl’s bars… If only I could do them like that! Check it!
I’ll let the description on the Youtube page explain this one:
“In Atalanta we met a homeless guy who told stories of seeing the cramps when he was just 13, he had a freezer pack of vodka and was already half cut when we met him. I guess he thought he still had guts to do something crazy. We would like to point out that riding BMX while under the influence is not something we condone, nor do we do it ourselves. Our advice would be to stay away from it in fact. Life is real though and occasionally you happen to see a drunk guy drop a big ledge on a BMX. The outcome was he was okay, we helped him with enough money to get the train to the hospital to get a check up, im not sure if he spent it on more vodka though.”- Eclat
Eclat just dropped one clip of Shane Weston doing a 180 to fakie Ruben wall ride. Yep. Good stuff.
Sean Burns is no stranger to some gnarly gaps. Mini vans on the other hand are a whole different story. Check out this quick clip Eclat dropped giving you a little preview of Sean’s Natives video that’s coming soon!
“Natives is a 6 part series focusing on the lives of 6 riders.
Sean Burns is one of BMX’s most colourful riders and his interview is a nothing short of weird.
