Devon Smillie – 2nd Place

“Devon was heavily tipped to win in 2017 but he came in runner-up. His lines go on-and-on, and he’s super exciting to watch.

Chad Kerley – 3rd Place

“Only Chad could get away with rocking a visor these days. He calls his bike “Milk”, and he can pop a bar-to-manual out of anything. Chad is really consistent and did qualify first but a close final score with the judges sat him back in 3rd.

Simple Session 2017 BMX Finals Highlights

February 7, 2017

Have you had your fix of Simple Session 2017 footage yet? Of course not! Here’s two more videos from Street and Park finals giving you a look at the best action that went down on the course from the winners,Garrett Reynolds to Larry Edgar, 22 other riders who absolutely slayed the course. Plenty of wild riding to take in, in this one!

“The after party and some flight issues got me. I just got back from Estonia and finally got solid internet to get these finals cuts uploaded for ya. If you didn’t catch the live feed, then this is the video for you to check all the highlights from Simple Session 2017.” – Ride BMX

“Just as I stated in the Street video… “The after party and some flight issues got me. I just got back from Estonia and finally got solid internet to get these finals cuts uploaded for ya. If you didn’t catch the live feed, then this is the video for you to check all the highlights from Simple Session 2017.”

I still got one more edit to put out…more of a “bullshittin'” style, although not sure I’m gonna call it that. Will try to finish it up first thing tomorrow. Everything is taking longer than expected, of course. Sorry!” – Ride BMX

Garrett Reynolds – Nation BMX “Non- Stop” (2005)

February 7, 2017

Woah, the crew at Ride BMX uploaded a gem that will get you guys real stoked. Above is Garrett Reynolds‘ section from the Nation BMX full-length video “Non-Stop” that came out way back in 2005 (How is that already 12 years ago!?). There’s a NUMBER of things that might shock some of you younger guys who just got into the game a few years ago. This video was filmed when Garrett was riding for Redline (who remembers those green and black Device frames?), ran a cassette hub and even had BRAKES on his bike. If you compare Garrett in 2005 to Garrett in 2017, it’s pretty mind blowing how much he has progressed and how much smoother and dialed his riding has become. Not to say 2005 Garrett was bad, because it’s safe to say even then he was absolutely amazing on a bike, but it’s definitely a much different rider than what we see today. Either way, this is too good to pass up, so hit that play button and soak up some classic footage! Oh, and if you didn’t know, Nation BMX was a shop and mail-order similar to Empire, Dan’s Comp and Albe’s that closed up shop about the time Fiend started.

“We did some crate digging to bring you Garrett Reynolds’ section from Nation BMX’s 2005 DVD, ‘Non Stop’! This is potentially some of the oldest Garrett footage out there, take a peek ?
