IGI BMX – Los Andinos

January 22, 2024

IGI BMX with some flatland from the Andes Mountains!

Here’s a fresh video Jean William Prevost sent through from some flatland sessions that Owen Bohn and Benjamin Hudson got in together and at their home spots. This is a mix of riding and footage from some of the fun they had off their bikes as well. It’s loaded with a ton of great riding, so get on that play button to get your flatland fix in. If you want to learn a little bit more and get a bit of a behind the scenes look there’s also a write up with photos you can check out right here as well!

“Owen Bohn & Benjamin Hudson hold a special bond. Both share a passion for flatland that is hard to find at that level in the mountainous area they inhabit, they live pretty close to eachother except for the towering Andes mountains that separate their cities Santiago and Mendoza. They’ve been taking this 8 hour bus ride that crosses the sight of the tallest mountain outside the Himalayas every time they feel for the motivation of riding with a real one. 15 years later they still motivate each other to keep pushing. This video will show them riding in a short mixed session together but also host a solo part for each on their own spots in Mendoza, Argentina and Santiago, Chile.

Hub Talk: Far East Cycles Freecoaster Hub How To

July 5, 2018

Get a detailed look at how the Far East Cycles Freecoaster hub comes apart and all the parts that make it work…

Here’s a video Jean William Prevost sent through giving us a detailed look at how the Far East Cycles Freecoaster hub comes apart and all of the parts that make it work, followed by how it’s put back together. This hub uses a unique driver system that is more like a cassette hub than a freecoaster since it doesn’t use a clutch like most of the other freecoaster options out there. This hub was designed for flatland, but we would imagine this could hold up to some street action, too. Hit play and take a closer look. You can pick this hub up for $169.99 – $319.99 depending on if you go with the titanium axle and driver or chromoly. You can see the options available over on Flatland Fuel!

“FEC hub inventor Ashao gets together with Jean William Prévost to take the hub apart and put it back together as they give some tips on how to use it and assemble/disassemble it correctly.” – Jean William Prevost

Jean William Prévost – Puro Flat #1

April 15, 2018

Jean William Prévost sent through his latest video for you to enjoy!

Winters are rough no matter where you are. If you’re lucky, you have a spot to ride to help pass the cold, snowy and wet months. Jean William Prévost is lucky enough to have a basement spot to ride that is flat and warm for his sessions when he’s home. Here’s a bunch of clips he filmed over the course of the winter in his home spot! Needless to say, Jean cooked up a ton of amazing flatland combos that are well worth the watch. Check it!

“2018 riding by Jean William Prévost, Part 1 of PURO FLAT video series entitled ”WINTER” .

The PURO FLAT 2018 Series is my intention to stay true to the artform that comes through Flatland before simplification for competitions and all other forms of it may it be shows or whichever…this is just me and the camera for the sake of the artform!!!

Here is a compilation of new tricks and / or combos filmed at Steve’s house in Drummondville for the two months that I spent there during the blistering colds of this past winter dipping below -35 Celsius multiple times, sometimes weeks at a time! I would just have to walk down to the basement, get on my bike and ride!!! It’s a house made especially for the practice of BMX Flatland, good way to spend winter time! I am especially happy with the last trick which will surely open doors to work around the bike pivoting on the pedals! Thanks for watching! Please like, comment and share with your friends!

Thanks Steve and much love!!

Jean William Prevost – Made In Shenzhen

December 24, 2017

You always know you’re in for a treat when Jean William Prevost sends over a new flatland video!

Here’s a rad one that Jean William Prevost put together giving us some insight into how China had changed his life 10 years ago and what it means to him now. This video is filled with some great riding, some interesting looks into what life is like over there for him and much, much more! Definitely check this one out since it’s a great watch from start to finish!

“In February 2007, I left for China to do shows in an amusement park for 11 months, totally unaware that that experience would change my life forever, I now find myself going to China 2-3 times a year, I speak and read a fluent Chinese Mandarin and run some bmx teams in China!

Now more than 10 years later I revisit Shenzhen and lay down some previously unpublished tricks on some of what I thought were the most iconic and favourite of my spots ; OCT Shenzhen IKEA underground parking lot, OCT Shenzhen Walmart spot and beautiful ShiminZhongxin (市民中心)spot at the end. I used to live in a place called BaiShiZhou (白石洲) within Shenzhen (深圳) , an area now set to be demolished in the coming years to build apartment towers. I am very grateful that everything lined up so I could film it the way I saw it back then before the past was erased.

You might have heard of Shenzhen City, an old fishing village just north of Hong Kong turned into a World Class city in some 30 to 40 years! It is often referred to as the NYC of China! I’ve always wanted to document this ”second life” I lead and hope you can enjoy it as much as I enjoy bringing it to your device!
