Blue Bench Trails Edit
Head over to the ESPN website for an awesome video that Aaron Nardi put together from Mike Saavedra’s Blue Bench Trails in California. These are some of the best looking trails in the world and there’s plenty of damn good riding that goes down. I did spot a clip or two that also appeared in the new Deluxe video “Part Deux” which also features a full part from Mike and the Blue Bench Trails.
Review: Deluxe – Part Deux DVD
For the last year I’ve been anticipating the release of Deluxe‘s second DVD, Part Deux. There’s something about the trails scene that never fails to leave my mind completely blown. In a BMX bloggers world that’s primarily dominated by videos of people doing barspins, tailwhips and grinds on street or flairs and tuck no hander’s to double barspins at the skatepark, there really never seems to be as much trails footage going around. I have noticed that there has definitely been a little more trails footage surfacing these days, but no where near enough. That’s why I got excited about this DVD. After waiting it out, the DVD was finally released this past week and I’ve finally had the chance to take a look at the video! Here’s what it’s all about…

How To: Maintain Respect at the Trails
Some sound advice from Mike Saavedra. Definitely pick up a shovel people!
“It’s not too hard to keep it cool at the trails, but there always seems to be a new issue every other week over the same old issues–riding without watering, treating the trails as if they were a local skatepark, you name it, it seems to happen on a regular basis and cause a hell of a stir, no matter what patch of woods you’re in. In this week’s How To, Mike Saavedra gives you the run down on how to respect a spot, the locals that created it, and what he and plenty of other trail riders around the world expect from those who don’t put in hard work there on the regular. Trails are plenty of fun–but that fun comes with hard work that should at very least, be acknowledged, as Mike tells you in the video above.” – Ride BMX
Tampa Bay Riders – West to East Edit
I’m always super stoked on these Tampa Bay Riders edit that Matt Coplon puts together. Such a good vibe.
“Clips collected on trips to SoCal and Athens, Georgia with a little bit of Tampa in between. Thanks to these folks for letting me film them: Mike Meister, Jared Eberwein, Baldy, Vince Kroff, Kent Pearson, Matt Arnold, Scott Ehlert, David Gibson, Mike and Sal Saavedra, and Dillon and Shane Leeper. I hope you enjoy as much as I enjoy riding with good friends.” -Matt Coplon
