Photogallery: Gypo Trails 20th Anniversary Jam

July 18, 2015

one-foot-table-bmx

It’s not every day that a set of trails get the opportunity to celebrate their 20th anniversary. Between trails being plowed or crews giving up to leave them abandoned and let all the hard work go to waste, trails life spans tend to be cut a lot shorter than most would expect. However, there are a few sets of trails that have stood the test of time all over the world and one of those are the Gypo Trails in the U.K. The Gypo Trails crew recently celebrated 20 years of good times and BMX at the place with a big jam where a ton of the locals and more turned out for the session. George Gissing pulled out his camera and snapped a few photos throughout the day for us to check out. We’ve posted them up in a new photogallery for you to check out. “I’ll say it, this is the best video I’ve ever made. Matt does tech tricks nobody’s doing, he does big shit, he flows soooo good, and he’s got a smile on his face the whole time. Seriously though, what more could you ask for? Matt put in a ton of work for this one, and I couldn’t be more stoked on how it turned out. Enjoy!” – Walter Pieringer

Photogallery: Pascal Lafontaine: Final Sessions

July 15, 2015

Life is funny. One day you can be on top of the world, then out of no where you can have your life flipped upside down. Recently, our good friend and one of Canada’s finest BMX riders, Pascal Lafontaine, was diagnosed with a cancer called Ewing Sarcoma in his right foot. Due to the cancer, on June 10th they were forced to amputate his foot and part of his leg to keep the cancer from spreading.
As you can imagine, with something like this it is very sudden and unexpected and because of it, Pascal is being forced to re-learn how to do his whole life with the use of prosthetics. This has also forced him to put BMX on the back burner for the time being until he can get a prosthetic designed similar to Kurt Yaegar’s to get him back on his bike.
Despite being put in a shitty situation, Pascal is staying positive and working his ass off to get back to his life and riding.

Prior to finding out the news, Pascal had shot a ton of riding photos that would be his last before going through the emergency amputation surgery that you can check out by visiting the link below! We have also included a quick clip of Pascal doing his physical therapy to re-learn how to walk! We hope you can all send Pascal some positive vibes to help keep him motivated to get back on the bike, we sure are!

Jed Mildon – The Worlds First Quadruple Backflip

July 12, 2015

Watch as Jed Mildon and James Foster went head to head to pull the worlds first quadruple backflip on a BMX bike! These guys both took some SUPER heavy slams chasing this one, but it looks like Jed was able to pull it off after quite a few attempts. Who remembers when Dave Mirra pulled off the double backflip for the first time? Kind of crazy to think this is two of those in one go, even though the Nitro Circus ramp is absolutely nuts and built for this kind of trick. Watch him do it right here!
