Haro – Bike In A Bag: Perris Benegas

July 30, 2022

Haro caught up with Perris Benegas when she got into Huntington Beach for the Vans Waffle Cup. Here’s a video where she shows you how she travels with the bike and builds it up. This also doubles as a sneak peek look at the new Ryan Nyquist signature Quist frame that is in the works! Take a look.

“Ever wondered what a bikes looks like after a few dozen times in and out of a bike bag, thrown on and off planes, built up, broken down, and ridden all over the world by an Olympic Athlete for 8 months?

To put it lightly, Perris’ bike looks like it has been to hell and back! Perris has been shredding this bike all over the world to help out with testing for a new park specific signature frame with Ryan Nyquist called the Quist!

So when Perris touched down in Huntington Beach California for the Van’s Waffle Cup, we caught up with her to check out her Bike in a Bag and find out the whys and hows of Perris’ bike packing technique and then we went for a cruise around HB to shake off the jet lag.

The Quist is nearing the end of it’s first round of testing and is currently scheduled for release sometime in 2023. We will have more specific information available for The Quist once testing is complete.

Hit play for a full edit filled with footage from Michael, Dennis Enarson, Perris Benegas, Matthias Dandois and the legend Dennis McCoy. Get on that play button to take it all in!

“We head south to Bogota Colombia to visit the home of Haro rider, Michael Mogollon, and to ride the biggest parks and the most cutty streets spots this beautiful country has to offer. This trip also marks the first Haro trip for new teammate, Perris Benegas, although she fit in with the crew so well it felt as though we have been traveling together for years! But that’s how it goes with great people in great places, you can’t help but have a great time!

Team USA Olympic Freestyle BMX Team Announced

June 10, 2021

Team USA Freestyle BMX team Olympics

After what has been over 2 or so years in the making thanks to COVID, the Team USA Olympic Freestyle BMX Team has been announced. Since the United States are the points leader going into Tokyo in both Mens and Womens standings, they get to send two riders. Based on their own internal points system, they’ve gone with Perris Benegas and Hannah Roberts for the Women’s team, and Justin Dowell and Nick Bruce for the Men’s team! If you have been following along these picks shouldn’t be a HUGE surprise, but the Men’s was going to be a toss up between a few riders. Expect to see all four of these riders holding it down for Team USA over in Tokyo this summer.
