October 13, 2017

Red Bull linked Tyler Fernengel up with photographer Jody MacDonald to work on an interesting photo project. Here’s a little behind the scenes look giving you a little insight into Tyler and Jody’s perspective and what went into the shoot they did at an abandoned sugar mill. Pretty interesting and well worth a look!

“Episode 3 of a 3-part series – In partnership with Vans UltraRange. Go behind the lens with photographer Jody MacDonald as she chases BMX rider Tyler Fernengel across the island of Kauai to capture his skills in a new light. From an urban adventure to an abandoned Hawaiian sugar mill, MacDonald shows us the immense effort required to shoot something that hasn’t been shot before.”

Check out what went down!

Red Bull 2nd Line

September 14, 2017

We’ve seen a lot of interesting collaborations in BMX over the years, but this is definitely an interesting one. Red Bull teamed up Terry Adams, Matthias Dandois, Viki Gomez, Benjamin Hudson, and Yohei Uchino with the 2nd Line marching band for some music and demos down the streets of New Orleans! Check out the video below to see everything that went down! Looks like this was a real good time to us!

“Before Voodoo Jam (the biggest flatland event in the US) kicked off, Terry Adams, Matthias Dandois, Viki Gomez, Benjamin Hudson, and Yohei Uchino took part in Red Bull 2nd Line, a one of a kind marching band down historic Royal Street in New Orleans. Always dope to see BMX in places you’d never expect…” – Ride BMX

Red Bull – Lined Up: Courage Adams

July 19, 2017

If you don’t get excited any time you see Courage Adams‘ name pop up, you’re definitely blowing it. Red Bull just released this new Lined Up video, which is a raw cut of one long, continuous line that Courage did while cruising spots in Madrid, Spain. As always, Courage mixes his incredible bike control and balance, dialed bag of tricks and style to make for one hell of line that’s worth checking out! Take a peek!

“Hadrian Picard uses his cinematic skill to capture this creative line from Courage Adams.

As an athlete, getting one continuous line dialled is tricky enough as it is, without adding into the mix city streets and a cameraman in tow. Taking to his adopted hometown of Madrid, BMXer Courage Adams spins the tricks in this seamless line. Captured by the ever talented Hadrian Picard as part of his Lined Up series.” – Red Bull

Red Bull – Tall Bike Revolution

May 23, 2017

Here’s an interesting series that Red Bull put out called the “Tall Bike Revolution” which takes a look at a group of guys who fabricate these insanely unique and original tall bikes that are unlike anything you have seen before. The guys tell their story about how they got into the bikes, what keeps them building, ideas they have and more. This isn’t directly related to BMX, but there is definitely a lot of influence coming from BMX and there are a few actual BMX related clips that make it into this series. Take a peek since this is a real good watch if you’re into bikes in general. Check out the six part series below!

“Riding any bicycle is a positive step toward a healthy lifestyle and personal enjoyment, but it’s the tall bike that has the power to change the world. The tall bike remains on the fringes — only embraced by the daring, the creative and the foolish. Join the Zenga Bros for a six-episode series where we explore how to build, ride and coexist on a tall bike.

The Zenga Bros mission is the eccentrification of the world: To create everywhere, redeem everything and be a fool. Learn more about the modern tall bike movement in episode 1 of this radical new series!”

“Episode 2 gives a thorough introduction to tall bikes; how they’re built and why the Zenga Bros are so obsessed with them. Explore the family history with tall bikes, and why we’ve come to believe this revolutionary vehicle has the power to change the world. Learn about the building process, which doesn’t require specialized skills, just a wild imagination and a keen sense for reusing materials.”

“Episode 3 illustrates how our tall bikes have evolved into rolling workshops, enabling us to make art, build ramps and carry all the supplies needed to transform any environment we pass through. You’ll see a bike give birth to another bike, and skateboard ramps built in unexpected places.”

“Episode 4 asks an important question, why tall bikes? To be fully self-sufficient – it feels so rad to be able to load up with all the gear to ride out and go camping. Episode 4 explores the full capabilities of the tall bike. Like the early settlers who ventured forth by horse and carriage, porting everything they needed to build a new life, the tall bike can be loaded with all the supplies needed to transform any environment they pass through.”

“In episode 5, it’s not about the rider asserting their creativity, but about how the tall bike can initiate such wonderful, spontaneous encounters along the way. In episode 5, you’ll see the tall bike as an augmented reality machine that surprises the passersby and awakens them from their daily routine.”

“Episode 6 culminates the series by highlighting the truly revolutionary aspect of the tall bike – it isn’t part of the economy. You can’t buy a tall bike, so the tall bike’s existence has to be about working with your hands, repurposing stuff and then taking it out on the streets and sharing it with people.

The tall bike encourages you to be a creator not a spectator, make the most of what you have, and express joy and love fearlessly. It can shift the rider’s perspective so that they can approach even the most familiar places from an elevated state of awareness – but let’s not get too serious, these are tall bikes.”

Red Bull – Raw 100: Matthias Dandois

May 11, 2017

You know you cannot go wrong with some fresh Matthias Dandois footage! Here’s a new Raw 100 video that Red Bull dropped featuring Matthias getting down at a few places in Paris, France. Great riding and film work in this one… Plus that raw, background noise really adds a lot to this! Take a peek!

“French flatland maestro Matthias Dandois is the subject of the latest edition of our Raw 100 video series that uses the talent and creativity of filmmakers to capture bike riding in a simple but sophisticated way.
Taking Raw 100 to an outdoor urban environment for the first time, UK filmmaker Will Evans teams up with Dandois to showcase Matthias’ Flatland skills in three unique but different locations in the Frenchman’s hometown of Paris – La Defence, River Seine, Place de la Bastille.

Red Bull – 3 Day Metro Pass: Milan

May 8, 2017

The latest 3 Day Metro Pass from Red Bull has arrived. This time around Kriss Kyle, Jordan Godwin and Felix Prangenberg spent 3 days exploring the city of Milan, Italy! This city is loaded with incredible spots and it’s safe to say the three of these guys had no trouble stacking clips for this one. Check out the video below. You can also check out the full story and photos on the Red Bull Website.

“Cobblestones and BMX don’t really mix well – in fact, it straight-up sucks. The combination of a rigid frame and small wheels means your wrists really know about it after a long day riding around a city.
Italy is famous for its cobblestones and ancient buildings, so you’d be excused when wondering why the hell we went to Milan for the latest Three Day Metro Pass trip!
