Halloween In Paradise – BMX Trails Jam

It’s that time of the year again for a Halloween Jam in Shawn Shimkets crazy backyard trails and pool spot! As always, the trails were dialed in and some crazy costumes came out. Hit play and take it all in.

This year it just so happened to be over 90 degrees and absolutely perfect outside…well, possibly a bit hot when you’re riding in a gorrila suit. Dan Kruk linked up with Ride BMX to film this brand new video that’s bound to really impress you. Over the course of the past year or so, Dan has been putting in the work on every rail and ledge spot that he has come across from street spots in California to some of the places he has visited in that time. Colony BMX – Alex Hiam “Bon Voyage”

When we first saw the title of this we almost though Alex Hiam was leaving Colony, but we quickly realized that wasn’t the way the title was meant to be interpreted since he’s definitely not leaving the team. Instead, we get a ton of amazing footage from his voyage to California putting down some amazing riding at skateparks and a little street. Alex is a total machine with crazy techical lip tricks to big airs and more! Hit play and take it all in!

“Alex Hiam spent some time out in California this summer and cooked up this sick video with Chris Bracamonte along the way. In between sessioning the CA culture and riding the Vans US Open in Huntington Beach, Alex hit a bunch of amazing parks in the LA area and shut them down with tech lines and big transfers like only Alex can. Alex is definitely on top of the park game right now and this piece gives you a look into how Alex’s riding has been progressing lately. River Roast 2017 Jam Highlights

Last weekend a bunch of riders got together for the first River Roast jam and it’s safe to say it was a huge success. Here’s a raw cut of footage giving you a look at what went down on the trails throughout the day. There was a great turnout of riders from Pro to the young guns just getting started. Bonus points for the babes and the mud wrestling. Check it!

“The first annual River Roast in Riverside, CA was a huge success. Tons of dudes came out from all over California and shredded under the sun competing in a bunch of events dreamt up by SoCal dirt OG Mike Savedra, there was cash for tricks being handed out by some local “Tilted Kilt” babes, a high air contest, a best 90’s trick jam, and even some mud wrestling babes (and dudes) for good measure. Look out for River Roast next year as it’s sure to grow and become even more legit next year! Shouts to Mike for throwing a rad a event and to all of the locals who paid to come out, ride, and support this new local spot.

Touring a BMX Bicycle Factory In Taiwan with GT Bicycles

As many of you know, a very large portion of the BMX industry have their products made over in Taiwan. In the past, it used to be a sign of cheap products with less than stellar quality, but that has changed pretty drastically over the past decade. Although we love our Made in the USA products, we do know that a lot of products coming out of Taiwan are actually dialed and high quality. During a recent team trip to Taiwan, the GT BMX team had the chance to tour a factory that makes BMX bikes (and a number of other styles of bikes) to get a look at how it all comes together. Ride BMX tagged along for the trip and filmed a little behind the scenes look at what goes on in those factories. We don’t know about you, but we find this all interesting as hell. Check it!
