Unclicked Podcast – Gary Young

June 29, 2020

After a bit of a hiatus, the Unclicked Podcast is back! Things have changed up and Dennis Enarson has taken a bit of a back seat on it and the Our BMX crew are going to keep it going. Here’s the first episode back with the one and only Gary Young! This one covers a ton of ground with a ton of great stories, so hit play and check out what was talked about!

“Unclicked is available on itunes, spotify, or wherever else you listen to podcasts.

Season 2, Episode 1. Things have changed a little bit with the Unclicked Podcast. Dennis got a bit burned out, so we struck a deal where I’d (Ryan Fudger) would take over the podcast and he’d still be involved as much or as little as he’d like. Fortunately, we have several podcasts in the bag already and Dennis has been part of every single one. New logo, new co-host, new location, and a new dog that interrupts the podcast, but it’s still the same Unclicked. The first episode back is with the one and only Gary Young, who happens to be my best friend and have one of the best table tops in BMX. Check the timecodes below if you want to jump around:

4:15 – Gary’s unexpected upbringing
15:05 – Choosing to not drink

1:18:30 – The key to longevity.
1:22:10 – Fracturing his skull and getting charged 60k

Imprimatur BMX – Ryan Fudger and Change, Adaption and Evolution of BMX Media

March 3, 2019

The latest round of Imprimatur BMX Podcast has arrived. This time around Mike Hinkens caught up with Ryan Fudger to talk about his role and time at Ride BMX and the way media has changed drastically over the years. This was recorded BEFORE Ride got shut down, so I would imagine certain things have changed, but for the most part it’s accurate of how things were and the way things have changed with Social taking over and everything. This is an interesting listen, so hit play and take it all in.

“In this episode of the ImprimaturBMX podcast, Mike Hinkens talks with RideBMX.com brand/content director Ryan Fudger. They take a deep dive into the story of RideBMX’s transition from one of BMX’s major print magazines to an online-only media site. Other major topics include: How the internet devalued print and led to the draining of resources from the industry, the murky metrics of the online platforms we now rely on for sharing media, and the evolution of RideBMX into an adapting and enduring institution of BMX.” – Mike Hinkens

Raw Cut – Toyota BMX Triple Challenge Arlington

February 23, 2019

The other day we got a look at the Monster Energy – 2019 Toyota BMX Triple Challenge Highlights, but it looks like there was plenty more footage leftover! Here’s a 20 minute raw cut the Our BMX crew have pieced together to give you a look at what went down from a ton of your favorite Pro’s and a few Am’s you probably haven’t heard of before!

“I headed out to Arlington, Texas, to film the second stop of the Toyota Triple Challenge for Monster Energy. They’re official highlight video dropped yesterday (link below), but I figured I’d put together a raw cut with a ton more riding. The clips are a bit jumbled just because of how I logged them for the Monster edit, but since this was judged as an overall impression event (not a single run), we’re good.” – Ryan Fudger

So, with his 39th birthday looming, Cory sat down and jumped right into life after BMX (he has a job?), Mirra, the state of dirt riding, and plenty more.
