Tim “Fuzzy” Hall & TJ Lavin – “DIG 25”

August 27, 2017

Snakebite coming through with another gem from the archives!

Sankebite pulled out this gem from 2002 for your viewing pleasure. This video featuring Tim “Fuzzy” Hall and TJ Lavin is from the “DIG 25” video features both these guys getting down on TJ and Fuzzy’s backyard spots, plus a little street mixed in. Take a trip down memory lane and hit play. This is rad.

16 Minutes / 16mm – Dave Mirra & Ryan Nyquist

July 14, 2017

Wow, this is amazing. Shad Johnson just uploaded this old Dave Mirra and Ryan Nyquist Adidas video from 2000 that features a ton of amazing riding and interview with Dave and Ryan! It’s pretty crazy to think this was made 17 years ago and how things have changed, and how some things have stayed the same, since then. Highly, HIGHLY advise you give this a watch! RIP Dave…

“I have been sitting on this video for a little and I’m pretty sure most people have not seen it since i think it was made as a promotional item for Adidas when they had a BMX team in the late 90’s to early 2000’s. There is some awesome riding from a very young Nyquist and Mirra in his absolute prime!
Definitely worth a watch just to see these to legends put in work!

Ben “Twin Finn” McEwen “Blueprint” Section (2001)

April 26, 2017

The guys at Snakebite coming through with another gem from the “Blueprint” video for your viewing pleasure. This time around we get Ben “Twin Finn” McEwen‘s section that is packed with some F-Bombs, street, skatepark and trails gold. It’s safe to say Ben was definitely one of those riders that was ahead of the curve when it came to grind combos and he wasn’t scared to send it on everything he came across. This is a really good watch that will probably surprise a lot of you by just how good this section really is! Great watch.

“I remember filming with Ben for this video and he was on it. He was riding at such a high level at this time that almost everything we filmed he did first or second try. Ben has always had an awesome way he goes at coming up with a new combo or on how he approaches a spot. Ben worked hard for the last spot in the video and i think it definitely shows especially with the bangers he throws down.
Also I’m pretty sure this section has the first smith to barspin ever done.

Justin Inman “Blueprint” Section (2001)

April 16, 2017

Here’s another gem from the “Blueprint” video that came out back in 2001 courtesy of Snakebite. This time around we get Justin Inman‘s section that is loaded with amazing trails, street and ramp riding that is packed full of speed, style and a good mix of tricks from cranked turndowns and inverts to grinds down some man sized rails and gaps over cars. This is a super good watch from start to finish, so get on that play button and enjoy!

“Justin’s first part was filmed while he was 17 & 18 and was the start of him dropping heavy parts for the next decade.“

Snakebite – Limit Fabrications Jay Miron Replica Build

April 14, 2017

Limit Fabrications Hoffman Bikes Miron Frame Replica

Over the past few years, we have started seeing some of the older riders out there building up their own Mid School replica bikes that take things back to when things were heavier and a little more unique when it comes to overall design looks. Some only use original parts that fit with the bikes era, some mix in some newer parts just to make it so it not only looks rad, but functions better. The guys at Snakebite caught up with Patrick Banks from Limit Fabrications to talk about his latest build, which is a very unique and original Mid school build that we’re pretty sure nobody else has. We say that, because the bike is built around the Jay Miron signature frame from Hoffman Bikes that never actually went into production. Thanks to Patricks skills as a professional frame builder, and a little help from friends, he was able to build his own version of the frame with a few modern upgrades like geometry, Integrated head tube and more for this bike. There is a great Q&A with Patrick up on the Snakebite website talking about what it took to recreate this frame to look identical to a frame that technically never existed, all the way down to the exact same built-in bottle opener. Dave Mirra “Chasing The View Off The Cliff” Section (1994)

April 5, 2017

It keeps blowing our minds how many legends appeared in the “Chasing The View Off The Cliff” BMX video that came out on VHS way back in 1994. This fairly unheard of video was aheads of its time for sure. The crew at Snakebite just uploaded Dave Mirra‘s section that’s packed with amazing riding from vert ramps to box jumps and it will remind you how insanely good Dave was even at a young age. Hit play and take in another incredible section from the legend.

At Home with Kurt Rasmusson (2009)

March 21, 2017

Snakebite are always digging up the gold from the past. Here’s a gem they just uploaded from 2009 that features Kurt Rasmusson get some riding time in around his family’s house. We’re not quite sure what this was filmed for originally, or if we ever saw the video when it first came out, but it’s a good one! Hit play to watch him shred their pool and a ramp setup he had. Kurt had a pretty short pro career and, if we remember right, he went on to be a cop. Either way, footage of this guy is always a treat. Enjoy!

“Dean Dickinson put together this edit of Kurt back in 2009 of him shredding around his house. Wish we could have seen more footage of Kurt but sometimes some of the best are in and out quick!”

John “Luc-E” Englebert – “Chasing The View Off The Cliff” Section

March 15, 2017

Snakebite coming through with another section from the “Chasing The View Off The Cliff” video for your viewing pleasure! This time around we get John “Luc-E” Englebert‘s section that might throw a few of you off a bit! Luc-E is known for his crazy flatland and street hybrid style, with inventions like the Luc-E grind. However, in 1994 he was crushing it on ramps and dirt jumps and this section gives you a look at this. Other than a few grinds on the coping of a ramp, there isn’t much for peg action, but it’s pretty amazing seeing this section versus something like his Neighborhood Superheroes section that he’s more known for. Hit play and enjoy!

If you missed it, here’s Jay Miron’s “Chasing The View Off The Cliff” section!
