Product: Kids Complete BMX Bike Guide

Over the past few years, BMX brands have really started putting some attention towards creating some quality complete bikes for the young guns that have really pushed the level of riding that we see from the kids that are 4-12 years old. Not to say that 12″, 16″ and 18″ bikes weren’t a thing before that, but there really wasn’t that much emphasis on it and the quality or options weren’t exactly that beneficial for actually doing tricks and progressing.
It’s pretty easy to see that these bikes have been awesome because we have seen some insane progression from the kids lately and it seems like every day we see a new video that just blows our mind. We got looking around at all of the options that are available these days and it’s pretty amazing what is currently available in the 2015 and now 2016 complete bike ranges that are available or soon to be released.
We decided to compile a handful of the best options that are out there for those of you who are looking to get your kid into BMX. I mean, let’s be real, who doesn’t want their kid riding the skatepark, trails or even street with them on a bike that doesn’t suck? Let’s take a look!

Sunday Bikes – Julian Arteaga Welcome + Bike Check

Sunday Bikes have just announced that Julian Arteaga will be repping their flow squad now with this bike check! We’ve seen a TON of footage from Julian over the past two years or so and the kid keeps getting better and better all the time! Expect good things to come from this in the future!

“All of us at Sunday are excited to welcome Julian Arteaga to the Sunday flow team. His close friend and fellow SoCal youngin Jacob Cable summed Julian’s riding up nicely: “He’s got one of the smoothest styles ever and makes everything look so good.” After seeing his videos for the past year and riding with him a bunch last week, I couldn’t agree more. Julian is a treat to watch ride, and he’s a positive dude to be around as well, so I think we did a fine job on this one. Oh, and his part in the upcoming Common video will surely not disappoint. Stoked to have him on board!

Sunday – Chris Childs Jackal Bar Promo

Sunday Bikes just dropped this new promo for Chris Childs’ signature “Jackal” bars that are out now! Watch Chris get violated with food while giving you the run through, then check out a couple wild riding clips for good measure!

The Jackal bars from Sunday Bikes are made from multi-butted, 41-Thermal heat-treated chromoly with a rise of 8.8″, 29″ width, 12-degrees of backsweep and 1-degree of upsweep. Alex Magallan Stepping Down From Being Pro

Well here’s some very unexpected news! It looks like Alex Magallan has decided to give up riding as a professional. Today, Tree Bicycle Co. announced the news. Alex didn’t specify if he was also stepping away from the Sunday Bikes team as well, but based off what he said it sounds like that’s his plan. Alex had a baby a few months back, so I’d imagine his priorities and responsibilities has changed quite a bit. Hopefully we’ll still see footage from him in the future! Alex is the man, an all around good human, and of course an absolute shredder on the BMX. We’ve had alot of good times with Alex over the years and only wish him, and his beautiful family all the best!
