The Street Series – Los Angeles Filming Mission

What are you doing on February 20th? Well, if you’re in the Los Angeles area, you need to be heading to Thee Block to meet up with the Monster Energy team to hit the streets to get in on filming for the up coming year of The Street Series! If you’re looking to meet and ride with Dan Lacey, Dakota Roche, Ben Lewis, Ed Zunda, Alex Donnachie and more, this i the place to be!

The Day BMX Took Over The Streets Worldwide

This past summer, Monster Energy‘s Street Series contest decided to do one full day of BMX all over the world with jams going on in the U.S., U.K, Latvia and Japan. Check out this highlight reel from each stop all in one video. It was definitely a wild one and it sounds like we’ll be seeing it go down once again this summer!

“The Street Series Jams went global in 2015 in support of #BMXDAY and they couldn’t have gone any better! On the 18th of July we saw multiple street jams going off worldwide, all in the name of having fun on bikes. We were there with DIG for the five main events in Glasgow UK, Riga in Latvia, Nagoya in Japan and San Francisco/Chicago in the US… and we thought we’d put them all together and show you what went down that day in one single recap edit. One of the most exciting factors of street jams is the fact that anything can happen and this year was no different. High speed gaps, run-ins with cops, crazy locals and mobs of riders weaving their way though cities… this is how you do it!

And that’s not all; we’re stoked to announce that you can look out for a 2016 Street Series jam in support of #BMXDAY jam near you on July 23rd. Look for more new on DIGBMX.com early this year. #BEAPARTOFIT

Crucial BMX – Glasgow DUB Road Trip

The Crucial BMX Shop crew made their way out to Glasgow, Scotland for BMX Day to take part of The Street Series stop! Here’s a video giving you a look at what their crew got into throughout their trip on some of the spots they rode to and from the jam! Looks like they had a good trip to us!

“We haven’t done a UK road trip in a long time, the Trails Trip last year would have been the last one, so it was time to show the UK some love. When the DUB JAM Street Series put out the date for a jam in Glasgow we couldn’t say no!

Gathering together our best street riders we then made the long 7-8 hour drive up to Glasgow, stopping in Stoke-On-Trent Plaza on the way up and a small Park Preston sort of way on the way back down!

We had a blast and really enjoyed the jam, Glasgow has many many spots and we barely scratched the surface.

“Lacey is one straight-forward, funny mother fucker. So, when I strapped to a mic to him at the beginning of the Chicago stop of The Street Series, I knew this would end up being a long edit. From dealing with security, whispering sweet nothings in my ear, and talking a bit of shit, Lacey pretty much had commentary for everything. Besides a couple of missed clips at the last spot (I had to go get something to drink), I think this video does a pretty proper job of showing all the good times that were had in Chicago. Thanks to Monster for organizing this, Kachinsky for doing the ground work, Lacey for being a part of this, and all the locals for coming out and making #bmxday a huge success.

Monster Street Series 2015 – Glasgow

We’re starting to see more footage from the Monster Street Series stops that went down all around the world on July 18th! Here’s a video Andrew Arthur put together from the Glasgow stop that gives us a look into some of the riding that went down throughout the day on different spots they had hit up! The video is a little rough around the edges, but it gives us a good idea of the success of this BMX day event. We’re sure there will be a bunch more footage coming from this one since Glasgow is where DIG’s headquarters are located.

Photogallery: Monster Street Series 2015 – Chicago

This past weekend, The Street Series invaded cities in Japan, Latvia, Scotland and the United States with crews of riders getting together and swarming the streets for massive sessions to celebrate BMX Day! Chicago was one of the 5 locations that was selected for the day, and some of the Midwest’s finest got together with Brian Kachinsky and Dan Lacey as they lead the crew from Grant Park Plaza to a handful of the city’s finest street spots. We had photographer Dennis Peralta out cruising with his camera and he came through with a dialed photogallery featuring the likes of Dylan McCauley, Dan Kruk, Trent McDaniel and many, many more!
