A little while back, some of the Merritt crew rolled through the Louisville park for a session. It’s crazy that we don’t see much from this park anymore thanks to the construction going on all around it, but luckily we get a look at what Brandon Begin, Marcas Grubbs, Tony Hamlin and Justin Care threw down during their visit! Tony Hamlin on Merritt Pro Team
Merritt have just announced that Tony Hamlin is now doing it for the pro team! Bumping Tony up to the pro team is never a bad decision and we’re sure this will lead to a ton of good times and more. Hopefully this means we’ll see an official “welcome” edit!

Kink BMX – A Sunday Afternoon in Riga, Latvia

Red Bull – Three Day Metro Pass: Washington DC
Red Bull just released their latest Three Day Metro Pass which features Matt Miller, Tony Hamlin, Chad Osburn and Jordan Hango going to work on street spots in Washington DC! We don’t see a ton of videos from this place, which is surprising… But based off this BMX video, we have a feeling we’ll be seeing more sooner than later because this place has spots on spots on spots.

Somewhat of a sleeper city in terms of BMX coverage over the years, DC probably doesn’t stand out as a destination, which is exactly why we chose to explore it for the latest edition of Three Day Metro Pass.
Joining this trip were Matt Miller, Tony Hamlin, Chad Osburn and Jordan Hango.
Relying on only a three-day pass for the Washington Metro system and our bicycles, we saw what seemed to be a massive array of spots. With decent weather, a good crew in tow, and a location that kept our interest piqued, our experience of DC couldn’t have gone any better.”
Kink BMX In Panama City
The Kink team are no strangers to going to some pretty unique places for their team trips. They recently hopped a plane to Panama City to see just what this city had in store for them! Based off the video, it looks like spot after spot after spot of pure gold that they managed to sneak a session in to film a clip without getting kicked out (and sometimes while getting kicked out). “After a trip fell through last minute to Honduras (due to some real world problems)… We decided instead of not going anywhere… To find the next best place that was cheap enough to enjoy. Panama City, Panama came to mind. After a few phone calls and text messages to some people that have been there, the tickets were booked, and our luxury sky rise apartment was paid for! Besides that, we didn’t know much about the place, or what we were getting into. Come to find out, the place is stacked. The footage you see is a mere 3% of what there is to ride in the city. Security is super tight, police are everywhere, and it is just plain not easy to ride spots there. You have to take a completely different approach to filming and riding in Panama; one that not many of the dudes are accustomed to. With all the hassles of security, strange people, language barriers, and cops with machine guns…we had an amazing time, and are stoked to have been able to not only ride some new spots, but meet the locals and have an awesome session. Thanks to everyone down there for the hospitality, and especially Ramon Pereira for the help and support during our trip.

Kink – One Hit Wednesday: Tony Hamlin Round 2
Filming for a video and BMX in general can be frustrating as hell when things don’t go to plan. Sometimes you lose it and things really hit the fan like the time Tony let his bike fly and in a freak chain of events broke the camera and almost took out the flash. Talk about a bad day.
“Tony is pretty notorious for losing his temper while filming. He puts a lot of pressure on himself to do crazy shit, and when we’re filming for big projects like “Squash It”, it’s even more extreme. Tony was trying this bar manual to feeble switch whip for some time while we were visiting Seoul, South Korea. It was super cold out and also really windy, two factors that you don’t need in your life for barspin to manual lines. Eventually he lost it and sent his bike into this ledge, but since the front of the ledge was banked, the bike went flying, directly into Darryl’s LCD screen. Keep it together, Tony. ”
