Some of the Merritt squad recently loaded up for a trip to Montana and Colorado to put the spots to work! We don’t get a ton of BMX videos from Montana especially, but it’s clear there’s plenty of dialed spots to put to work. Check out what Montana Ricky, Justin Care, Anthony Catlow and JP Ross got into!

There was a jam at Woodward at Copper recently to help raise funds for Troy McMurray who has been dealing with piles of medical bills. CHeck out what went down at the jam that helped raise a good chunk of change for the dude!
“We had a great turn out for our most recent BMX Jam! Over 50 riders came out to support Troy McMurray. We ended up raising over $1,500; all of which went straight to Troy. Thanks to everyone for the epic evening.”

I was introduced to Troy McMurray in 1996 on the cover of RideBMX. For years, I watched as he progressed in the BMX spotlight with raw and unorthodox style. Troy could ride everything and ride it like no one else. Using a short and stout frame to win huge street comps and throw the biggest 180 barspins the dirt circuit had ever seen. Lighting the match on the breakless revolution and transforming modern day street riding as we know it. Troy is a pioneer of FREESTYLE.
Troy has had some bad luck as of late. He has been diagnosed with multiple pulmonary embolisms and has had recurring blood clots throughout his body. He has had two very scary trips to the hospital. He will need further medical assistance into the future. Troy is not one to ask for help, but with his second daughter on the way, his family could really use a boost. He has been an inspiration to many of us in the BMX world and any kind of donation would be greatly appreciated by Troy and his family.

Word started flowing around the other day that Troy McMurray was in the hospital, but there really wasn’t any specifics as to why released. Today I got a link to the new benefit page a few of his friends and family members set up to help him and his family out with the medical expenses explaining what is going on. If you have a few dollars to spare, help this legend out!

He had a very scary, lengthy stay in the hospital and will need medical assistance into the future. The bills are adding up and he will not be able to return to work anytime soon. Troy is not one to ask for help, but with his second daughter on the way, his family could really use a boost. He has been an inspiration to many of us in the BMX world and any kind of donation would be greatly appreciated by Troy and his family.”
