Vans BMX Pro Cup Malaga – Regional Qualifier Highlights

Yesterday the Regional Qualifiers went down in Malaga, Spain for the Vans BMX Pro Cup at Ruben Alcantara‘s skatepark. Over 80 riders from all over Europe competed for the top 3 spots that roll over to the finals that are going down today with the 18 Pre-Qualified riders and 3 Wild Card spots for a total of 24 riders. Vans BMX Pro Cup Malaga – Day 2 Practice

The 2nd day of practice for the Vans BMX Pro Cup went down on Friday with plenty of the guys having their lines and the park figured out. Here’s a few videos giving you a look at some of the riding that went down, along with an interview with Ruben Alcantara talking about the park, how it all came to be and more. If this is what’s going on in the practice, we can only imagine the madness that’ll be going on in the contest!

The Vans BMX Pro Cup has invaded Malaga, Spain for their 2nd stop of the year. The contest is going down at the Ruben Alcantara skatepark with some of the best Pro’s dropping in for some good times. Photographer Fernando Marmolejo was at Practice on Thursday and ended up catching a few rad photos of Dennis Enarson, Tom Dugan, Sergio Layos, Ben Wallace, Larry Edgar, Kevin Peraza, Jason Watts and more. 2017 Vans BMX Pro Cup Series – Malaga, Spain Preview Featuring Sergio Layos

The second stop of the 2017 Vans BMX Pro Cup will be going off in Malaga, Spain this weekend! Here’s a little preview of what to expect from Sergio Layos who took the top spot in Sydney and has home field advantage at the Skatepark of Malaga! Expect to see plenty of amazing riding from Sergio and all the other riders that will be dropping in!

“Vans BMX Pro Cup Series Top Seeds Lead Way to Spain after Spanish Pro Sergio Layos secures his first victory at the Australia Global Qualifier. Dennis Enarson, Kevin Peraza, Gary Young, Larry Edgar and more battle it out for the cup and bragging rights. Who will take it? Check back for more content leading up to the event and highlights!”

“In anticipation for a staggering lineup of BMX competition in Málaga this weekend, tour pro and winner of the Australia event Sergio Layos leads the top-seeded pros to his home country of Spain to kick off the second Vans BMX Pro Cup global qualifier event of the season.

Highly regarded as one of Europe’s finest BMX talents, Layos is one of the most respected BMX riders worldwide. After taking home gold in Sydney, Spanish pro Layos will defend his Pro Cup title at his stomping grounds, El Málaga Skatepark, often referred to as one of Europe’s largest parks for BMX riding. Joining Layos, the top 17 pre-qualified seeds from Sydney’s global qualifier event will up the ante, building suspense for the final showdown.

Ahead of the main event, the Vans BMX Pro Cup Series will continue to host the regional qualifier prelims on Saturday, May 6, open to eligible registrants from the region. The top 10 ten riders from the open competition will advance to the main event on Sunday, May 7.

Vans have released Bruno Hoffmann’s “Illustrated” video part online!

It’s Friday… Doesn’t get much better than that! Wait, it does! Vans have just uploaded Bruno Hoffmann‘s section from their “Illustrated” video online for your viewing! As you probably know by now, this section is packed with some incredible riding with plenty of insane grind combos and plenty of freecoaster action. Bruno put in some serious miles for this one and ended up coming across a ton of amazing spots that he was able to go to work on. If that isn’t good enough, there are even a handful of Dan Lacey clips mixed into this one. If that doesn’t make you want to to give this BMX video a watch, you’re insane! Hit that play button!

This is bound to be a wild one since a lot of the guys riding the contest have had the chance to ride Ruben Alcantara‘s park in Malaga.
