Mike Mastroni Leaves Volume Bikes

December 16, 2017

And the crazy 2018 sponsor changes continue! Mike Mastroni is leaving the Volume Bikes Pro team and his role as filmer for Volume and Demolition!

As the saying goes…all good things must eventually come to an end right? For those of you in industry this has been common knowledge for quite some time now, but as the year comes to a close I just wanted to take a second to announce that I'll no longer be working or riding for @volumebikes and @demolitionparts moving into 2018. I can't thank @briancastillo & La Wong enough for giving me the initial opportunity to work for their companies, make BMX videos pretty much my own way for all these years, and build a team of friends & like-minded people who I've always felt collectively made up something greater than the sum of the parts. From our first official team trip to SF, thru The Finer Things DVD, countless shop stop trips & product promos, all the way up thru Volumes 1 & 2… the places we've been and the people we've met….wouldn't trade those times for the world. All in all it's been real and I'm forever grateful for the years of support, and also for everything I've learned in the process. Thanks again guys! ?

It’s been a really crazy week with a ton of very interesting sponsor shakeups that we honestly did NOT expect. We just spotted another bombshell that really caught us off guard. Mike Mastroni will no longer be riding for Volume Bikes in 2018! Along with that, he will also be stepping down as the go to filmer for both Volume and Demolition Parts! Mike has been a huge part of both programs the past few years, producing the “The Finer Things” DVD and the vast majority of video content coming from both brands. We’re not sure what Mike has lined up next, but we’re sure it won’t be long before he swoops up a new role as either a rider or a filmer. Mike crushes it on both sides of the lens, and there’s always a need for that in BMX.
