Last year we decided to figure out what the most expensive complete Freestyle BMX Bike was for 2016 and it was pretty interesting to see just how much bang you could get for your buck. Now that pretty much all the main BMX brands have their 2017 Complete Bikes available, we figured it would be a good time to do a little research and figure out just who has the most expensive complete bike! Will the guys at Wethepeople be able to hold the crown, or is there a new one taking the top spot? Instead of focusing on just one of the bikes, we decided to do a TOP 5 list leading up to that top spot. To be clear, we are basing this list entirely off what we found for pricing online and took the most common price that we found for the bike across multiple reputable BMX retailers. With that being said, let’s take a look at what bikes made the Top 5!

Just beating out the 2017 Verde Luxe V2 by $10, the 2017 Alex Hiam signature Sweet Tooth Pro from Colony took to the 5th spot for the Most Expensive Complete BMX Bike for 2017. Haro Bikes taking the 4th most expensive bike spot for 2017 with Dennis Enarson‘s signature 2017 SD V2 complete bike! This one is listed at $989.99 on the Haro website, but we looked around and found most are selling for the $899.99, so we’ll go with that price just to be safe. This bike is another one of those great bikes with a bunch of dialed aftermarket parts setting the bike up. This one starts with Dennis’ signature SD V2 frame and mixes in a bunch of Haro and parts from Demolition Parts just like Dennis runs. Get the full scoop below.

Another bike that made our 2016 list that’s back for 2017, the Gary Young signature Soundwave Special from Sunday Bikes is another bike that’s decked out top to bottom in aftermarket parts, making for a real dialed bike with a ton of value. This bike is completely loaded with Sunday Bikes and Odyssey parts that you could buy individually, but why would you do that for a price like $999.99? We didn’t do the math, but our guess is a savings of at least $800 buying it as a complete versus everything separately. Below is the full parts list.

For 2017, we have a TIE for the most expensive complete freestyle BMX bike. Both bikes go to Haro Bikes and their Lineage series Master and Sport complete bikes. Both bikes are based off their 1987 Master and Sport bikes, with a more modern geometry and features like Integrated head tubes, Mid bottom bracket, smaller gearing and more! These bikes might not be as appealing to the younger riders out there, but these bikes will hit home with some of the “older” guys who are still riding or into collecting BMX bikes! These bikes might not be completely decked out with aftermarket parts, but you can get the frames and some of the parts like the cranks, seat, tires and more as aftermarket parts. These bikes are all excellent bikes with a lot of great value whether it be because of the full on aftermarket parts that give you a huge discount after all is said and done, or if it’s for the value of what the bike is as a whole. We would have no trouble recommending any of these bikes to riders, more specifically the advanced guys who put a heavier beating on their bikes.
