Ever since I’ve started riding 10 or so years ago, there has been a brand in BMX that I remember hearing people swear by time and time again. That brand would be Profile Racing. The U.S based brand out of Florida that produces the classic hubs and cranks that have stood the test of time from riders all around the world. I’ve had two sets of these Mini hubs sitting on my desk the past few days and just looking closely at them, it’s no wonder why they have become so popular over the years. I figured it would be pretty cool to take a closer look at these hubs and give you guys a little more insight as to what makes these hubs so special. Let’s take a look…

DIG – Issue 82
The cover for DIG Issue 82 is out now. The cover is wild with Clint Reynolds airing over Ryan Corrigan down in the Caribbean. It sounds like I’ve got 4 pages of product that I wrote up in this issue as well. You can find out more about the issue and how to get your hands on a copy RIGHT HERE.
Insight: Shadow Conspiracy X Vans Collaboration
A little over a week ago, I had a care package show up on my doorstep from Vans. I had an idea of what was inside, but I wasn’t sure. Back in October The Shadow Conspiracy had hit me up asking for my shoe and shirt size. They wouldn’t say why they needed it or anything. I knew something was up, and I found out at Interbike in September that the two brands were doing a collaboration. Fast forward to February and the shoes released with a ton of coverage from all angles. So when it showed up on my door step in April I was surprised since I didn’t know I would be getting anything. I decided to put together some photos and info to give you some Insight on the goods. I’ve also compiled some of the past features. Let’s take a look…

Jeff Dowhen Bike Check
All photos: Luke Mouradian
Jeff Dowhen is BSD, Madera and Sun Ringle’s mustache rider from Milwaukee who I’ve had the chance to road trip all over the place with the past year or so. Jeff has been on his game lately with a video part and a few other things in the works. I figured it would be a good time to take a look at his new setup and find out what he has been up to lately. Check out it!

Quicky: Josh Eilken
All photos: Kurt Hohberger
Josh Eilken is one of those riders who have completely melted my brain just watching them ride. This past year I had the chance to spend 10 days with the guy and got to know him pretty well (Fun fact: Josh is lactose intolerant and eats more cheese than anyone I know). I also realized that he’s absolutely nuts on a bike. Josh recently decided to leave Federal‘s flow team after a few years of service, so I figured it would be a good time to check in with him and see what he’s up to. I’d advise any bike companies looking to add a freecoaster rider/beast to their team, to give Josh some consideration. Check out what he had to say, some photos from the trip last summer, some recent edits and then leave him some love in the comments and hit that like button!

Insight: 4Seasons Skatepark
4Seasons has been a staple in the Midwest BMX scene for the last 11 or so years. In that time, there have probably been thousands of riders who have passed through their doors, numerous contests and events have gone down, and an endless supply of edits and photos have come from the park. The scene around Milwaukee wouldn’t be where it is today without it, and I’m sure some of the riders you might be familiar with might not be riding still. A few of us decided that it would be a pretty cool idea to do an interview with the owner, Neal, to find out a little bit more about the park. Luckily, Neal was into the idea, so check out what he had to say, a bunch of real good photos from Jake Geisel, Greg Dickson and Luke Mouradian and a few edits from the park from over the years…

Toronto Trip 2011
Well, look at that… A whole week has flown by and I don’t even know where it went. Well, I do since there’s a whole bunch of content up on the site now. What I mean is that I got back from Toronto last monday and haven’t posted up the random photos I shot on the trip. Last thursday I made my way over to Milwaukee to meet up with Jon Wells, Jeff Dowhen, Grant Castelluzzo, Tippy and Nirve where we all loaded into the infamous Sun Ringle van and headed towards Canadia for the Toronto BMX Jam. I shot a bunch of random photos and figured I’d share the story from the trip…

Video: Chris Wilmshurst
Video is a new series I am looking to start that gives you a chance to get to know some of the people producing the edits you see all the time around the internet these days. One of the first people who came to mind when thinking of this series was Chris since he’s constantly producing edits for Vital BMX and working with brands on projects. I shot Chris over some questions to find out a little bit more about his film work and this is what he had to say. You can check out a whole bunch of his favorite edits that he has produced over the last year in here…
