Frozen Trails Session

January 9, 2018

When you live in the Midwest, sometimes you have to do what you gotta do to ride the trails in the middle of the winter.

If you live somewhere that gets cold and covered in snow for a few months out of the year, then you have probably tried to figure out how to catch a session despite the cold temps. Brant Moore didn’t want to wait until spring to ride the Apple Creek trails, so he spent some time with his buddy John pushing some snow and figuring out how to get a few laps in despite the frozen ground. Check out what went down! This seems way more efficient than building jumps out of snow and covering them with ice…

“Wait till Spring to ride trails? Yeah right!
January 8th 2018, John and I went to Apple Creek Trails in Ohio for the first session of 2018.
It took a lot of work to clear the path, but was well worth the time and effort! It’s not very often you get to ride trails with 3 inches of snow on the ground.

Scotty Cranmer – New York City’s Only Indoor Skatepark

January 9, 2018

The crew made their way to 5050 Skatepark in New York City for a session!

Since the Incline Club is closed and torn down, Big Boy, Matty Cranmer, Dom Simoncini, Augie Simoncini and Vinny Mannino decided to head to 5050 Skatepark for a late night session at the park. Here’s a video they put together from the session that lead to plenty of good times! Take a look at what went down!

“We took a trip up to New York to ride 5050 skatepark to escape the cold weather and get some riding in! The owner of the skatepark is a BMX bike rider so he built a great place for the crew to ride! Big Boy had another Spinal in NY and all the other guys did some amazing riding also! We are planning to go to a bunch of other skateparks this winter since our skatepark is closed down.” – Big Boy

January 9, 2018

Reed Stark continues his never ending travels with a cross country trip from California to New York City!

If you follow Reed Stark on Instagram, you know that he’s CONSTANTLY traveling and you never quite know where he will pop up. It seems like the past few months Reed has been bouncing around the United States, which is a little less exotic than some of the places Reed has popped up in lately. This time around we get a mix of footage he collected during time in California, Texas and New York City. Needless to say, this has some great riding and some interesting lifestyle footage worth checking out! Hit play and enjoy!

“Reed Stark on a recent Cali to New York trip, from the hot ditches of Texas to the cold streets of NYC, follow the Giraffic one on another street Safari…

Vans – Larry Edgar, Sean Ricany & Travis Hughes Welcome To The Family

January 9, 2018

Vans have officially added Larry Edgar, Sean Ricany and Travis Hughes to the team!

As you all know by now, Larry Edgar, Sean Ricany and Travis Hughes have been rocking Vans shoes for a while now. They were getting the hook up on the shoes, but it looks like it’s now official because they have been added to the Global BMX Pro team. This means we’ll be seeing all three of these guys getting in on the Vans team trips and getting more opportunities to travel and crush it all over the world. Here’s a dialed video welcoming all three of the guys to the team. Needless to say, there are a bunch of bangers in this one from trails, skateparks and street missions. Hit play and

“Vans BMX would like to welcome three riders to a more permanent place on the BMX team. Larry Edgar, Sean Ricany and Travis Hughes have all been pushing their own riding and the boundaries of BMX. They were all down to rock Vans before 2018 and now we’re making it official.

Cult – Dakota Roche Self-Filmed In San Francisco

January 9, 2018

Dakota Roche spent a few days cruising spots around San Francisco on his own!

There’s something about riding spots and cruising by yourself. It kind of opens up what you’re thinking about doing at a spot since you aren’t motivated by what somebody else is doing or having somebody call you out. Add in a camera to film the clips and you end up having to get real creative to ensure you get the shot and have it look good. Dakota Roche decided to spend a few days exploring the streets of San Francisco on his own and ended up stacking a bunch of clips. Check out this rad video Dak put together for Cult showing us what he got into!

“This solo video piece is the result of getting to cruise the Bay Area for a few days at the end of 2017. I was finding so many rad spots during my explorations that I couldn’t help but put a little project together… I present to you a combination of a few of my favorite things; riding, searching, filming and editing. Hope y’all enjoy” – DAK ROCHE

Back Bone BMX – Jason Watts Welcome Video

January 9, 2018

Check out Jason Watts’ official welcome to the Back Bone BMX team!

Jason Watts might be no longer riding for Haro, but it looks like he is now doing it for Back Bone BMX down in Australia. We’re not quite sure who he will be riding for as far as a bike sponsor goes in 2018… Yet (we could see Subrosa or S&M)… But, it’s safe to say the Back Bone BMX guys will be keeping his bike nice and dialed so he can absolutely SLAY everything he touches from trails to ramps and street spots. This new video is packed with amazing riding from seat stand nose manuals to decades, flairs, cranked turndowns, huge inverts and much, much more. You can’t really predict Jason’s riding, so it keeps things real interesting from start to finish. Hit that play button!

“We’re beyond stoked to have Jason on the team, his love for good times and participating in building the BMX scene gets us stoked just as much as how bloody good he is on a bike. Also thanks a million to the legend James Fox for making this happen, without our knowledge he and Jase organised this whole thing and we are frothing!

Pull back or die!’” – Tyson Jones-Peni

“I’m always looking for an excuse to Road trip with the homies!! So what better excuse than to create this video to welcome Jason to the Backbone family!! Original concept was to film a video in 3 days in Canberra and then some how we just kept traveling up north!! Thanks for the good times!!!

Have Fun, Die Trying…” – James Fox
