Sneak Peek: Haro – Tyler Fernengel Signature Frame

June 22, 2016

tyler-fernengel-haro-bmx-prototype-signature-frame-700x

It looks like Chad Kerley isn’t the only one getting a signature frame from Haro! Here’s a look at Tyler Fernengel‘s current setup with a prototype of his first, very well deserved signature frame from Haro!

There isn’t word on the name of the frame, but Tyler did release a few details. The frame will be made from 4130 chromoly with a 75-degree head tube angle, 71-degree seat tube angle, 9″ standover height, 11.5″ bottom bracket height and 13.5″ chainstay length. It will feature a hydro formed top tube and down tube and investment cast dropouts with built in chain tensioners. It also appears, based off the photo, to have a hour glass head tube, an integrated seat post clamp and externally butted down tube. Overall, it looks like it’s going to be a real clean frame.

The frame will be available in 20.8″ and 21″ top tube lengths as well.

If you’re hoping to get your hands on this frame, you will have to wait a few months because it sounds like it won’t be available until closer to Christmas time in December. We’ll keep you posted when we hear more!

Here’s a fresh Power Hour where he spent a full hour dropping some heavy clips and having some fun. Not too many videos start off with a Cash Roll, haha.

“The Australian cash roll machine powers through a back injury to bring you one hour’s worth of great riding and plenty of laughs at San Diego’s Mission Valley YMCA Skatepark.” – Vital BMX

How To Bunnyhop A BMX Bike

June 22, 2016

Matthias Dandois and Alex Jumelin are back with another Can You Make It how-to video. This time around they’ve gone back to the very basics to teach you the key to the bunnyhop. This is one of those tricks that is actually kind of hard to learn at first, but once you figure it out it quickly becomes one of those tricks that you pretty much use in one way or another in every single trick.

One thing, probably on the salty side of me, that comes to mind is this trick is called a Bunnyhop… Not a “J-Hop” or a “Pro Hop”… Just a bunnyhop. If somebody tells you different, don’t trust anything that comes out of them because they don’t know what they’re talking about, haha. Seriously though.. Whoever came up with the “J-Hop” or “Pro Hop” names for the bunnyhop need to slapped…

But yeah, back to the point of this. Matthias and Alex might be a little hard to understand since English isn’t their first language, they both have a lot of experience and some serious hops. So, hit play and take it all in!

DIG BMX “Locals” – Jonny Devine

June 22, 2016

Although Jonny Devine might not be one of the “household names” in BMX, he’s definitely been on our radar for quite some time and we’ve been a big fans of his riding. Here’s a fresh new one DIG dropped from some time Jonny spent cruising a few parks with filmer Ryan Hallett where both of their styles went together to make one damn good BMX video. This has amazing riding and some real good film work. This one is a great watch from start to finish! Enjoy!

“You’ve seen them before – the local you’ve not heard of that out of nowhere destroys the park you just visited. The first in a new series called ‘Locals’ featuring some of the lesser know riders out there begins with Jonny Devine at a few parks in Devon, UK called Chudleigh and Tiverton while visiting filmer Ryan Hallett last summer. The rest of the edit was then shot up around Preston where Jonny lives, at Preston park, Huyton and Manchester. Style appreciators take note!

Product: WISE – Touchscreen Glove

June 22, 2016

wise-touch-screen-bmx-glove-2

With the temperatures heating up in the northern hemisphere, there’s no doubt that your grips are getting a little more slick thanks to all that sweat. If you’re looking for a new set of gloves, but you don’t want to have to take them on and off to post every clip you get on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Snapchat (you get the picture… Pun intended), then maybe the WISE Touchscreen gloves are the ones for you. The Touchscreen gloves are made from a lightweight spandex for maximum breathability with a synthetic single layer palm to give you plenty of grip, non-slip silicone on the finger tips to make it so you can still get into your phone with them on and a low profile neoprene cuff instead of a strap to keep them on.

The Touchscreen gloves are available for $19.99 through BMX shops and mail-orders that work with System Cycle distribution now.

Note: They haven’t quite figured out how to get your finger prints on the gloves, so your going to need to type that password of yours in to get into the phone… Ya know, if you didn’t figure that out already.
