Adrian Warnken – Hometown Spotlist

October 21, 2019

There’s no place like home! Here’s a fresh edit featuring Adrien Warnken going to work on a few street spots in his hometown of Dusseldorf, Germany! As always, Adrian delivers some great riding with plenty of grinds, manual lines, jibs and more. It’s safe to say Dusseldorf has some great spots, too! Take a look!

“Adrian Warnken has spent the past few weeks picking off some street missions in Dusseldorf that have accumulated on his to-do list over the years. The result is a successful video in which the SIBMX rider once again proves that he can not only handle earth, timber and concrete transitions excellently, but also masters the grind craft well and does not shrink from harsher impacts. Adrian is just a real all-rounder who does not commit to a discipline. There is the double Schumidaumen in gold from us. Yeww!

Adrian Warnken rides for SIBMX, Sunday Bikes and Odyssey BMX.

Trashfest 2019

October 21, 2019

Sometimes you don’t need much to get a bunch of guys on bikes excited. Here’s a look at the Trashfest Jam that went down in New Jersey the other weekend. Check out all the riding and good times that went down on the sketchy ramps, a few sturdier looking ramps and the obstacle course! No shortage of good times and fire in this one!

“October 5th 2019 in Galloway New Jersey, Trashfest was born. A mini ramp fit for any level rider, an obstacle course that would give Scotty Cranmer and his crew and run for their money and the curved wall from hell, known to catch on fire from time to time. Bikes, fire and a ton of shitty ramps. South jersey style. Hosted by : Doug Martin and Kenny Shoulders (Trash boy Productions) Enjoy!

Riders include:
Doug Martin, Jared Manganelli, Josh Vodopija, Mike Ware, Matt Merraro, Goggles, Dustin Ewing, Erik Sammartino, Pat Voss, Kenny Shoulders, Jimmy Shea

Introducing RADshare

October 21, 2019

RADshare BMX organization

Here’s some rad news that popped up in the inbox this morning. Steve Crandall and a few friends have launched a new non-profit organization called RADshare that is designed to promote BMX to the kids out there with free helmets and bikes, along with education on cool things like ramp building, DIY t-shirt making and more. This is just getting the wheels turning, but it sounds like an awesome project that could benefit a ton of kids who might not ever get the chance to ride BMX or learn some unique skills. Learn more below or visit RADshare.org!

“RADshare is a non-profit organization dedicated to educating and empowering local youth through programs that explore and celebrate the art of having fun. RADshare aims to promote a safer bike culture by offering safety education, free helmets and dependable cycling equipment.

This organization, led by a community of creative leaders, seeks to close the opportunity gap through mentoring and exposure to the arts of fun and action-sports culture. It raises awareness for Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) through a combination of better education, advocacy, and equipment, focusing on serving riders with less access to resources.

RADshare empowers today’s youth to reach their full potential through inclusive community-based projects, development of shared spaces, and greater access to skills and safety clinics. We believe in empowerment through sharing RAD experiences.” – RADshare

Pascal Lafontaine 2019 Video

October 21, 2019

A few years back, Pascal Lafontaine was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma Cancer that ultimately ended up taking his right leg to stop the spread of the cancer. When Pascal was going through all of that, his goal was to get back on his bike and get back to absolutely shredding like he did in the past. After a few years of getting things figured out, it’s safe to say he accomplished his goal and is absolutely killing it again. Here’s a new edit filled with amazing riding for somebody that has two legs, so we are even more blown away by what Pascal is doing with a prosthetic. Do NOT miss this BMX video.

“Back in 2015, after filming a couple of head-turning video parts, Canada’s Pascal Lafontaine was diagnosed with bone cancer and had to undergo the horrifying process of losing his leg. Understandably he thought that those videos had become the last he’d ever film.
After three years of rehab he learnt to walk and even ride about on his bike, all while going through chemotherapy and dealing with 15 separate foot breaks. He is still in chemotherapy and trying different treatments but he managed to relearn how to ride with his prosthetic leg and slowly but surely got back his skills on a bike and filmed whenever he could. Fast forward to a few weeks ago and Pascal emailed us asking about a DIG exclusive – needless to say we couldn’t believe our eyes when we saw the footage he had been collecting. If there’s one video to watch this year, it’s this one. Nothing is impossible. Sit back and enjoy some of the most incredible and inspiring bike riding from one of the toughest people out there. Look out for the full story in the next print issue of DIG, coming soon.

“I really want to thanks all of my friends that helped me ride again and film this video part.”

Filmed by William Gladu, Alex Magnan and Cedrik Morin.” – DIG BMX

October 21, 2019

When it comes to running a skatepark, it can be difficult to make it last, and we’ve seen a lot of parks come and go over the years. Adrenaline Alley over in the U.K has been doing it right for years, and one of the reasons is that they do remodels from time to time. Check out what Alex Coleborn, Declan Brooks, Tom Russell and Daniel Tunte threw down on all the new ramps with no shortage of lines being figured out along the way.
