On The Road Again

It looks like today I’ll be heading out on another road trip adventure. This time around Reed Stark and I will be making our way over to Milwaukee, Wiscompton to meet up with the Sun Ringle team and loading up the van. We will be hitting the DK Dirt Circuit on Sunday and then a full week of unplanned adventures that will end up in Pennsylvania for the Welcome Jam at the Potoczny house. Followed by a straight shot back to Milwaukee. I’ll be trying to do photo updates as much as possible but since we’re going to be camping out everyday the wi-fi might be a bit limited. Tony Malouf is coming along as well to film so there should be at least a video or two coming from him too. Get psyched!

Welcome Jam 2010

What do you get when you get two awesome brothers who can shred and happen to have some real dialed trails and know how to have a good time? Well, you get the Potoczny brothers and their annual trails jam that has been going on for years. The Welcome Jam is going down this year on August 28th and it’s bound to be a damn good time. From the looks of it, I’ll be rolling halfway across the country with the Sun Ringle crew starting this weekend and ending up at the jam on the 28th. So, the weekend came and went pretty quick. My 4 day trip to Chicago was filled with tornados, monsoons, BMX, parties, laughs, and in general good times. I really don’t get too overly blown away by contests since it’s a lot of the same tricks and expected runs from the guys, but it’s a real good excuse to go see everyone and just get some chill time from life and do something different. These past few days have been better for Tony. He has been showing a ton of signs of improvement and should be getting out of the hospital this weekend. Todd Johnson and a few others have been busy getting things lined up for the benefit jam we are having on July 31st. Above is the flyer. Dew Tour - Nike 6.0 BMX OPEN - Chicago

Sorry for the slack on getting some fresh stuff up. I’ve got about 10 interviews out that I’m waiting on so hopefully some of thats starts rolling back in the next few days. But otherwise in the mean time, I’m just chilling until the Dew Tour in Chicago July 23-24th. I spotted this flyer floating around and figured I’d post it up since I’ll be making my way down with Jon Wells and whoever else ends up on the party bus. A few weeks back, Nike 6.0 had asked if I could help out by doing an interview with Nate Wessel talking about the course design for the BCN BMX Pro going down July 3rd and 4th in Barcelona. I was more than psyched and today the press release with the interview dropped. Check out the interview and the course photos. It looks like it’s going to be a sick contest. I wish I was going.

It’s been chaos since I returned from Chicago on Sunday. I’ve been digging through a little over 200 potential photos from the contest and finally narrowed them down to about 98 photos between here and DIG. I’ve got 80ish “scraps” that you can find below from the contest with bad captions. Give them a look through and let me know what you think in the comments! Oh, and since the video on ESPN turned out so damn good by Dylan Pfohl, I’ve got that at the bottom as well! BOOM!
